They’re both gorgeous names, but I’m a bit dubious about the them together because they both have the same long “i” sound.
I do agree… A lot of vowel sounds, not awful …
I think [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Violet[/name] would be better.
I think it works fine but I agree with it sounding a little off because of the long i sound.
I’d go [name]Violet[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] because I love [name]Violet[/name] so much but how about [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Violet[/name] (as per above) and just call her [name]Eliza[/name]? You rarely say the middle name after all so it’s not that important that it flows 100% brilliantly.
I think its a pretty combo
I like them both separately, but the “i” sounds run together when I say it.
This used to be one of my favorite combos before the rising popularity of both names put me off it. I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Violet[/name]! It’s so sweet and sing-song-y, while having legitimate roots. I would be thrilled to meet an [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Violet[/name]! (PS, I think the “long i” sound in both names is what makes the combo fun and beautiful. I see it as a positive, not a negative!)
I love both [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Violet[/name], and I like the idea of them for sisters, but as a combo, it is a bit “I” heavy, and I never really liked the way those spunky "Z"s and "V"s looked juxtaposed like that. It is a nice name, though, and I don’t think the “I” heaviness would be a dealbreaker, if I really loved it.
Good luck!
[name]Love[/name] both names, but not together just as others stated. I really like someone’s suggestion of [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Violet[/name]. [name]Just[/name] use [name]Eliza[/name] as her nickname.
The i’s don’t bother me. I think it is a gorgeous name! Sometimes a slightly off combo sounds really good to me:)
Thanks for the feedback.
Sounds like most people like both names- but perhaps not together.
Great idea to have them as sisters- but this bubba we are TTC will be our last.
I think that makes choosing a name even harder- I like so many and I have to choose just one combo!
I do like [name]Elizabeth[/name] nn [name]Eliza[/name] idea. Especially with the Pride and Prejudice link- they call her [name]Eliza[/name] in the book at times too.
It is just a whole lot more traditional than I usually like.
[name]Violet[/name] is a possible FN. Hmm? Maybe.
I also like [name]Elizabeth[/name]/[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Violet[/name] as it nods to my [name]MIL[/name] who’s name is [name]Eva[/name]. E. V. intitials and [name]Evie[/name] pronounciation.
