Eliza?

I like the name [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], but is it too close to my own name ([name_u]Lisa[/name_u])? To me they are different, but curious what you guys think,

Also, afraid of the potential for it to get super popular due to the whole “[name_f]El[/name_f]” trend— what do you think?

I wouldn’t use it because both are nicknames to [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]/[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]. I don’t think it’d get super popular. In the past six years it’s jumped around in the 200 rankings, but I can’t see it being rank in the Top 100. Maybe around 160 or 180.

I think it would be fine for you to have a daughter named [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], the connection would be sweet. It’s not like [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f] having a daughter named [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]-that would be too close.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is 167 in Australia, where I live, and I would still consider it for a daughter. I’m really keen on [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] at the moment

i think it is to similar to [name_u]Lisa[/name_u]. i like it though.

I think [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is fine to use if your name is [name_u]Lisa[/name_u]. I think it’s a sweet connection for you and baby girl. That being said, I see it having potential of breaking in to the top 100, but not the top 50 names.

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is one of my all time favorite names. It isn’t close to [name_u]Lisa[/name_u] sounds wise. I say go for it!

I don’t think they are close at all in sound or style. I wouldn’t ever even think of it as a diminutive as [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (either one but especially not [name_u]Lisa[/name_u], and even if they are, why does that matter?) I love [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]! Use it for sure!!
