DH just suggested this name out of the blue last night. We both love [name]Elizabeth[/name], but nixed it because I wanted to use [name]Josephine[/name] to honor my grandmother, and we thought the name would be too long. DH’s logic is that we still get the “J” in there for my grandma (he doesn’t like [name]Jo[/name]). We’re still leaning towards [name]Emilia[/name], but I wanted to see what you all thought since DH seemed so excited about his idea.
So any thoughts? Could I get away with no NN or the NN [name]Elle[/name]/[name]Ellie[/name]? We’re open to any shorter versions of [name]Josephine[/name] instead of [name]Jae[/name].
I love [name]Elizabeth[/name], but [name]Jae[/name] feels trendy - [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Josie[/name] is super sweet. [name]Josette[/name] might be nice, too.
I like [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Jae[/name] - other short “J” names could be [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Jane[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Jean[/name] (really like this one). I prefer [name]Elizabeth[/name] over [name]Elle[/name], and [name]Elle[/name] over [name]Ellie[/name].
Definitely, [name]DO[/name] give her a middle name. I’ve known of several people (young and old) without middle names who all felt very cheated and saddened by that. [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Jae[/name] is fine and a nice idea. However, the letter N is in [name]Josephine[/name] too, so [name]Jane[/name] would do an even better job of representing [name]Josephine[/name] and would not result in misspellings.
I think you should stick with [name]Josephine[/name] as a middle name and not water it down. I don’t mind the long names together (“work that alphabet”…saw that on a name blog somewhere), but I also really like [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] together. [name]Lovely[/name]!
[name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is lovely, I say go with that. The idea that that name is to long is just silly! I really, really do not like [name]Jae[/name]. [name]Jane[/name], [name]Jean[/name], and [name]Josette[/name] are great suggestions.
I may be alone in this here, but I prefer [name]Emilia[/name] to [name]Elizabeth[/name]. [name]Elizabeth[/name] may be less popular than it once was, but I still seem to know a lot of them.
[name]Emilia[/name] [name]Josette[/name] would be a beautiful name!
