- Elizabeth
- Elisabeth
I like both just about equally as full names, but voted [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] because I prefer the nicknames Lissa/Lissy/Liss to Lizzie/Liza/Liz. Though my favorite Elizabeth/Elisabeth nickname, [name_f]Libby[/name_f], works equally well with both spellings.
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] for sure! I adore how soft it looks.
I prefer the look of [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], but oddly enough, I much prefer [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] to [name_f]Elisa[/name_f]
Definitely [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]! Itās softer and more romantic than [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and it means you can avoid the nicknames Liz/Lizzy if you donāt like them (I donāt).
I prefer the spiky [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]!
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] has my heart.
Theyāre both fabulous names, but I would use [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I think thereās just something fun about having a z in a name, and I love the nicknames [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Liza[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! The āZā gives it a different vibe
Voted [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], but [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] might honestly be better- with how frequent it is, poor [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is just short of being common enough to be asked which spelling she uses. However, I love the personality that comes with [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], which is why I voted her.
This
[name_f]My[/name_f] 8 year old daughter is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] so I vote for that. Itās a family name for us so I didnāt even consider a different spelling. Her nickname is [name_f]Lissy[/name_f], despite not using the [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] spelling. She never gets [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f].
Iāve always loved the nn [name_f]Lissy[/name_f], whether it be for [name_u]Allison[/name_u], [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f], or [name_f]Melissa[/name_f]. I can definitely see it as a favorite for Elisabeth!!
I prefer [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] as a first name, the z just makes the name feel a little more versatile rather than the soft, feminine [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]. However, in the middle spot, I think [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is lovely as it is quite unexpected.
I much prefer [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], I like that it has a bit of a softer sound to it and honestly it just looks nicer written down to me. The only reason I would ever pick [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] over it would be to get to [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], but honestly I prefer [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] as a standalone, so [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] is the favorite!
I love them both, so I canāt decide!
Iāve literally never seen the S spelling outside of nameberry and I know many Elizabeths, so I chose the Z spelling
I voted for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], because itās the more mainstream spelling. I think that an [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] would have to say āElizabeth with an sā throughout her life, which might get a little tiring
