Elizabeth 🌼

disclaimer: not expecting, just collecting

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is my mom’s name, so it’s one that’s very special to me (she almost never goes by her full name though), and it’s one of S/O’s favourite names as well. We love the name on it’s own, but if we were to nickname, we like that there’s so many options - our favourites are [name_f]Betsy[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] or [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] atm.

That being said, is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] too bland/unexciting paired with older brother [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]? For a middle name, we’ll likely use something unisex to spice the combo up, like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] or [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Avery[/name_u].

How do you feel about [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] & [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] as siblings?

Thanks!

I love it. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a rock solid classic, but the Z keeps it interesting. [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] or [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] are great together.

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] & [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] do feel a tad mismatched to me, but that’s totally ok! Especially with a super cool nickname (there’s so many to choose from!) and a more modern middle :dizzy:

I love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] with [name_u]Rhett[/name_u]. It is my name and my family is full of Elizabeth’s. I have a niece [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]. I also love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u].

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is elegant and classic, and surely has literary and historical references. It is strong and not frilly, easy to write and read. Has a lot of qualities. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though I prefer [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] would be one good choice for you. It has a lot of nicknames, from [name_f]Lizzy[/name_f] to [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] to [name_f]Lily[/name_f] to [name_f]Birdie[/name_f].

[name_f]Gorgeous[/name_f]! I’m really starting to love classical names.
[name_u]Rhett[/name_u] is very [name_u]Southern[/name_u] gentleman (Gone with the Wind) and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] suits in that world perfectly.

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is such a timeless, versatile classic that [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] work perfectly! Admittedly, I’d be more inclined to use one of the nicknames as a fullname as it feels a bit more in line with [name_u]Rhett[/name_u], but, [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] works well too

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] are slightly mismatched but I think with the help of a zippy nickname for her, and a less classic middle, it would balance.

[name_u]Rhett[/name_u] and [name_f]Birdie[/name_f], [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] would be so adorable!

I’m loving these classics that you’re pairing with your little [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] honestly I think they are truly fabulous! [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is gorgeous; she’s strong, regal, has great biblical history, elegant and has a range of beautiful nicknames. I think she has a southern flair paired with [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] making the overall sibling set feel so laid back and outdoorsy. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Avery[/name_u] is beautiful. However I think [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] has that southern flair matching well with [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u].

I think they work

they both give a vintage southern vibe to me! especially if elizabeth goes by eliza :womans_hat:

maybe even a double name would help bridge them a little more, if you like those, that is! here are some ideas…

elizabeth sutton
elizabeth paisley
elizabeth faye
elizabeth collins
elizabeth opal
palmer elizabeth
clementine elizabeth
georgia elizabeth
ada elizabeth
sutton elizabeth

hope this helps! :honey_pot:

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is beautiful. Elegant, classic, and timeless. Sounds just fine with [name_u]Rhett[/name_u], and it’s so special to your entire family.
Go for it!

Elizabeth is a beautiful name. :two_hearts:

As an Elizabeth lover (and even someone named Elizabeth, moreover), I totally struggle with this. It’s such a classic that it might even feel dull to me at times. But it’s so bright! It’s literary, it’s snappy with a Z in the middle and a TH ending. It’s a nickname haven. All these beauties in one name is so special… and unique to a name like Elizabeth.

I think Rhett is lovely with Elizabeth. All of the nicknames you’ve written totally work and are wonderful with Rhett. Of them all, Betsy is my fave! I love the ‘et’ sounds that match in those two.

I honestly really love [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] together! [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is one of those names to me that can go with basically any other name, and ever though [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is quite common, I don’t find her boring at all! To me, [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] sound like two siblings who are each other’s best friends, who love exploring the forest behind their house together, picking wildflowers to give to mamma, and making funny shapes in the sugar cookie dough. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] are great together! I love the [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] combo.

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] “Elsie” and [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] are amazing sibs!

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] sounds fine with [name_u]Rhett[/name_u]. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is such a classic beauty. It’s very elegant, feminine, and regal sounding. I slightly prefer [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], but both are beautiful.

^^ This is just what I was going to say!

I love Elizabeth, and the fact that it’s so special to you is reason enough in my opinion to go for it! Elizabeth Avery, in particular, is a great combo! And I really love the sound of Rhett & Eliza as a pair.

I think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] are perfectly matched! [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Avery[/name_u] sounds really perfect with [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] particularly! :revolving_hearts: I feel like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] goes with most every name because it’s such a timeless classic, but it feels especially well matched with [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] imo.

I love all of the nickname potential of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! [name_f]My[/name_f] personal favorite is [name_f]Libby[/name_f] (albeit stretchy), but I also enjoy [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f], [name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_u]Isa[/name_u], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], and [name_f]Liza[/name_f]!

I love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], it has character, history, LOTS OF HISTORY and femininity. However, Sawyer/ [name_u]Avery[/name_u] or a unisex middle in general completely ruins the name in my opinion.
