Ella and Elise too close?

Another thought: [name]Elise[/name]. which I love, but too close to her sister, [name]Ella[/name]? I think it is probably, just getting a gut check.

Yes. Much too close.

Yes too similar

Definitely too close. Sorry.

Due to them both starting w/ [name]El[/name] I would say yes, they are too close to each other.

[name]How[/name] about a name ending in -ise or -ice?
[name]Alice[/name]
[name]Anneliese[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Clarice[/name]
[name]Felice[/name]
[name]Louise[/name]

No, they’re not at all close
“el-lah” and “ee-lees” sound completely different.

Yes, too close.

[name]Way[/name] way too close. [name]Ella[/name] could be a nn for [name]Elise[/name].

Too close for me, that would be confusing.

Too close, but [name]Elise[/name] would be fine as a middle name.

While I love both [name]Ella[/name] and [name]Elise[/name], I definitely agree. [name]Way[/name] too close for sisters. As a PP said, [name]Ella[/name] could be a nn for [name]Elise[/name].

Yes although to me they sound nothing like. I don’t see [name]Ella[/name] as a nickname for [name]Elise[/name]. It’s a paper/print thing. I could see school mixing up transcripts that kind of thing. I also think it’s the kind of thing where to you they’re different, but friends are like “They named their daughters [name]Ella[/name] and [name]Elise[/name]. I totally get confused.”

They do sound like they could be Duggar sisters if and when someone starts an “E” name family. If you’re a Duggar, they’re not too close.

I really like [name]Clarice[/name].
Good [name]Luck[/name]!

For me, they would be too close. I like the idea of [name]Elise[/name] as a middle name potential.

But it’s not pronounced ‘ee-lees’ with a long ‘ee’ sound at the beginning.

I think they’re way too close. It’d be like calling your daughters [name]Sharon[/name] and [name]Sharlene[/name].

I love it! Definetly do it

Yes too close.

[name]Both[/name] start with [name]El[/name]…and therefore could end up with the same nickname.

Well I don’t know where the rest of you live but I have never heard anyone pronounce [name]Elise[/name] “el-lees”. It is either “ee-lees” or “ah-lees”. People would think you were crazy if you said “My name is [name]Elise[/name] but my nn is [name]Ella[/name]” because there is no “el” sound.
