Ella and Lucy

Hey everyone!

I was just thinking of sister names, and I came up with [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. My only concern is that the
“l” sound is too prominent. What do you think? Also, do you prefer the name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] or [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]?

I adore both [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]. Short, sweet, easily spelled, but also not overused or incredibly common. They are gorgeous names!

I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Ella[/name_f], because of how common [name_f]Ella[/name_f]/[name_f]Bella[/name_f] names are right now, but it’s still cute. I think it would sound a bit common next to [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] or [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]. I wouldn’t use [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] together because of the Ls, so I’d choose [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]. But [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] as sisters would be amazing!

I don’t think [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] sound too similar to be sisters! And I’m not sure which I prefer from [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] or [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]; they’re both such lovely names!

I love [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]!! I don’t really care for [name_f]Ivy[/name_f].

My top two girls names right now are [name_f]Elena[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], and I would most likely use [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as nicknames. They might both be a little “L” heavy, but I don’t think they are too similar to use for sisters.

I love the name [name_f]Ella[/name_f], so I prefer [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. I don’t think the L sound is too prominent at all.

I prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] over [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], but only due to a certain association with an [name_f]Ivy[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] make for a superb sibling set, and personally, they make one set that I would use in a heartbeat (especially since now s/o is coming round to the name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]!!).

I really like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] for sisters. Both have the same feel and are similarly popular. I don’t think there’s a problem with the Ls unless you then add a [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] or another L heavy name to the set.

I much prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] to [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] since I always think IV as I was in the medical field. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] seems less harsh to me and more wearable. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps
