I’m due in 10 weeks and can’t decide between the two names. Which one would you choose?

Depends on the middle and last names honestly

But, [name_f]Ella[/name_f] would be my first pick as I know too many Sophie’s.

Both are so sweet, but [name_f]Ella[/name_f] would be my choice! It’s just so sparkly and soft. It reminds me of butterflies, picnics, sparkles, cozy childhood homes, and gentle animals :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::butterfly::sparkles:

i like ella better than sophie in general, but i think that the flow with the middle/last name would make a huge difference as well!

I really like both, so this one is tough. It would depend on what middle and last name she would have as that would sway me one way or the other. I usually prefer [name_f]El[/name_f]- names but for some reason I’m leaning toward [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] this time if I had to choose blindly. [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is sweet and sophisticated at the same time. It’s more popular I think, but also I would say for a reason, as it’s very easy to love. And of course I adore (love love love!) the nickname [name_f]Fia[/name_f], which you can get to from [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], should you want options.

Sophie!! It’s timeless, it ages well, and it conjures up imagery of moonlit yellow daisies dancing in a nighttime breeze. [name_f]Ella[/name_f] is a nice name too, but the imagery is less vivid, and I guess I know one too many people with EL names (Ellie, [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], etc.) to really feel the charm [name_f]Ella[/name_f] might have.
