Naming baby girl #1 [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] nn [name_f]Elle[/name_f]) was easy-ish. We needed an “I” name to honor my late MIL and I always loved the name [name_f]Elle[/name_f] to honor my late grandmother, so [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] nn [name_f]Elle[/name_f] was almost a no brainier - plus it honored my other grandmother’s [name_u]French[/name_u] heritage with that spelling. [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] for her middle name was also pretty easy to agree on and my husband and I love that it means happy. Who doesn’t want happiness for their kid?!
Baby girl #2 is due in the next few weeks and her name is proving much more difficult! We want something that sounds good with [name_f]Elle[/name_f] that isn’t super popular (we’re in NYC) but also not super obscure either. A few ideas we’ve thrown around are:
Mae
[name_f]Bridgette[/name_f] nn [name_f]Bree[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] (with potential nn [name_f]Mae[/name_f])
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] nn [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] (pronounced [name_f]Em[/name_f]-uh-lean)
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] (becoming too popular though?!)
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] (not sure if it works with [name_f]Elle[/name_f])
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] nn [name_f]Evie[/name_f] (becoming too popular though?)
Middle name possibilities are any of the above plus [name_u]Barrie[/name_u] (family name), and [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] (family name).
Thoughts or any additional names that come to mind? TIA!
