Ellen?

What are your thoughts on [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]? I posted a few days ago asking for [name_f]El[/name_f]- name suggestions, and along with [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], a new top contender is [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]. I think I love it!

Potentially [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], nicknamed [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or [name_u]Elzie[/name_u]. (please don’t say it doesn’t need a nickname - I know, but nicknaming is cultural for us and we will be using nicknames)

What do you think?

I like [name_f]Ellen[/name_f], I think it’s much less common than [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] but still as beautiful!

[name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is perfect. The name meanings together are basically bright life which sounds so amazing.

I’m not a fan of the nn [name_u]Elzie[/name_u], it makes me think of some rapper naming himself LZ or something but [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is really nice.

[name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is lovely. Clean, simple, feminine, and strong – all at the same time. [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is the perfect balance between youthful and vintage spunk. Great choice.

I like the fact that [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] isn’t commonly used these days, but offers up spunk.

Think it’s a great name choice.

[name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is really cute. [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is pretty but has the potential to be boring, but [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] makes it modern and spunky. I like nickname [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], and [name_f]Nell[/name_f] or [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] could also work

I prefer [name_f]Eleni[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f], [name_f]Helen[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]. But [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is a pretty name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] not my favorite.

I love [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]. It feels very fresh after hearing [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] so often.

I think [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is gorgeous. It’s so simple and streamlined, but still very pretty and light. I think it makes for a perfect pairing with [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] for those reasons. [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is a stunning combo.

[name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_u]Elzie[/name_u] both work as nicknames [name_f]IMO[/name_f], but I’d personally go for the utterly lovely [name_f]Nell[/name_f]

I usually don’t like [name_f]Ellen[/name_f], but I like [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] a lot.

I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Ellen[/name_f], but I [name_f]ADORE[/name_f] [name_f]Elin[/name_f].

[name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is beautiful! It’s underused, feminine yet not frilly. It’s also classic.

[name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is super pretty! I know an [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] (high school age) and it is such an unexpected, gorgeous choice. Definitely wearable! I do prefer [name_f]Elin[/name_f], but both are gorgeous

[name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is my middle name. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] to see someone thinking about it. I think it is a name that is fitting to many personality types.

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]! At the moment it is my favorite girls’ name. Feminine but substantive and no-nonsense, with historic associations. I love [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] (MN is a family name) or [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f], but lots of middle names sound great. My favorite NN for [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is [name_f]Nell[/name_f].

I also think [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] is lovely, and agree with the previous comments about it being stream-lined, classic and feels fresh because underused. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_u]Elzie[/name_u] both work as nns. My favourite is [name_f]Nell[/name_f], just gorgeous!

[name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is a lovely pairing.

I like [name_f]Ellen[/name_f], and think [name_u]Elzie[/name_u] is fine as a nn (though I’d probably go for [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] or [name_f]Nell[/name_f]). I don’t think the LZ thing is an issue, since that would be “Elzed” here

I love [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] and your combo is so fun! Two more nn ideas from it: Ellzo or Lenzo?

I like [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]! I worked with a lovely lady named this (she’s around 22). Her name is [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Ellen[/name_f], actually, and can definitely picture it on a baby. It’s a vintagey name that’s starting to come back, so you’re right on trend. I love the nickname [name_u]Elzie[/name_u] - I’ve never heard it before, and fresher than [name_f]Ellie[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] especially with the nickname [name_f]Nell[/name_f].
