Ellenette as a middle name? What do you think?

I am brainstorming names for girls…still! I always wanted to have my grandmothers middle name [name]ELLEN[/name] as a girls middle name. But during my brain explosions I came up with a mix of [name]ELLEN[/name] and my mothers name which is [name]LYNETTE[/name].

So Ellenette. I would pronounce it el-en-et. [name]How[/name] would you pronounce it? And what do you think? I can’t find it in the name searches on Nameberry.

Ellenette…hmmm…

I like that it’s meaningful to you, but wouldn’t it be more meaningful to use both these ladies’ names? Obviously your mother and grandmother are two of the most important people in your life…it might be more special to honour them directly. You could have two middle names: _______ [name]Ellen[/name] [name]Lynette[/name]

Or, you could do a more graceful smoosh: [name]Elyn[/name]/Elynn. Basically, it’s [name]Ellen[/name], but with lynn in it. That being said, I’m still in favour of using the actual names. But, as smooshes go, this isn’t bad, and I find it alright due to its family meaning and thoughtfulness.

I say it the same way, but I think it’s a bit much.

Thanks! I really like the smoosh option of [name]Elyn[/name]. It’s definitely more graceful. Adding to list for sure.

As a middle name I say go for it! To me middle names can be just about anything as long as you love it and Ellenette has a pretty sound.

I actually really love Ellenette. I think it’s beautiful.

I really like Ellenette. It may be a little much though depending on the first and last name. As long as you love the name that’s all that’s important. Middle names aren’t used too often anyway and such a beautiful would be nothing to be ashamed of.

If you are looking for a one syllabel option, I think [name]Elyn[/name] is lovely. Best of luck and warmest wishes!

I like it for a middle name only because it is so meaningful. It would be a bit much I think for a first. I also love [name]Elyn[/name] or Elynn - very elegant. Either way- you can’t go wrong! Good luck.

It sounds pretty, but the first thing that came to mind was ‘Elnett’ hairspray, not a bad association!

I prefer [name]Elyn[/name]. I’m so sorry, but I see ‘elephant’ when I read ‘ellenette.’

my gut reaction was an [name]Elyn[/name]/Elynn solution as well. Good luck!

I like it!!

I definitely prefer [name]Elyn[/name], it’s more elegant.
