Which spelling do you prefer? [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] or [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]?
I prefer [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]. [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] to me seems to heavy on double consonants, and if I’m correct the traditional spelling is with the single T.
I prefer [name_u]Elliot[/name_u].
Thank you everyone for your opinions so far
I also prefer [name_u]Elliot[/name_u].

[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] for me as well.
Another vote for [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]. If my daughter were a boy, she would have been [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]. However, my husband insisted that the [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] was the only spelling that looked right.
I prefer [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] but that might just be since it is the version that I know people with.
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] looks better to me, I agree about the double double letter being too much.
I guess I’m in the minority. I prefer [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]. It seems more balanced.
I think with 2 “L” letters, you need 2 “T” letters. I also like [name_u]Eliot[/name_u].
Depends on the vibe you’re going for, I find [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] to be more youthful and modern, fitting in with names such as [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_u]Logan[/name_u], [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] or [name_u]Noah[/name_u].
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] feels more mature and timeless, fitting well with classics, retro but also modern names.
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is the surfer in loose clothes, [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] is the reader in a suit.
Personally I prefer [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], I like the balanced look, but then it also fits in better with my style.
I prefer [name_u]Elliot[/name_u].
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] for sure
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] looks incomplete.
I prefer [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]. For some reason [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] looks incomplete to me, which is frankly ridiculous but hey…
If I were using it, I’d probably go with [name_u]Elliot[/name_u].
I like both. I would just pick the one that is more commonly used where you live, if you can find that out. Either way, he’ll definitely have to do a bit of ‘with one t’ or ‘with two t’s’ when giving his name, but if you pick the most common option maybe you can reduce it a bit.
I prefer [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]
