Elliot vs Elijah

[name_f]My[/name_f] dad’s name is [name_u]Elias[/name_u], so to honor him (without having the name be exactly the same) we are deciding between [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m].

I prefer [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]! It is sooo handsome [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] is nice too but I love [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] so much

Edit: I just realized this was for a girl. I still prefer [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] for a girl over [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]. I’m not a fan of [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] on a girl. Would you like [name_u]Ellis[/name_u]? [name_u]Ellison[/name_u]?

I do love [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] on a boy though and I think it honors [name_u]Elias[/name_u] perfectly

Honestly I love both, it’s a hard choice!

In terms of getting closer to the actual sound, [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] is a closer honour name. But [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is very handsome. You can’t go wrong! I’d be inclined to go for [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], because [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is getting a lot of love at the moment, so I suspect it’s going to have quite a big rise in popularity whereas [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] might stay a bit more solidly where it is. Although neither are massively unique, so it’s up to you.

I think eithe rone works well, but [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] is more direct. I prefer [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], though.

I guess I’m in the minority with this one but i prefer [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]. [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] feels super warm and handsome, where as [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is cute but feels super young to me.

Elliott! It was my number one boy name for a long time, but when when the time came, I realized it was a tongue twister with my daughter’s name.
