Elodia?

I’m due with twins in [name_f]May[/name_f], and we’re going to name one a variation of [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], but if we have two girls, I am rather in love with [name_f]Elodia[/name_f]. What do you think of it? Does it sound of okay with [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandrina[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] or [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] (as her sister)?

I’m not quite sure how to pronounce it, el-oh-[name_f]DEE[/name_f]-uh or el-OH-dee-uh. I’d prefer [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] for simplicity’s sake personally.

I agree. I think [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] would make cute sisters.

I love [name_f]Elodia[/name_f]! I prefer it to [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] because it sounds more like [name_f]Melodia[/name_f] and more melodious. It’s also a very old name, used by the Ancient Germanic tribe of the Goths so it has a lot of history! I love it together with [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] because they both end in -ia and fit very well together. As for the pronunciation, it’s Eh-LOH-dee-ja.

[name_f]Elodia[/name_f] is pronounced [name_f]El[/name_f]-OH-dee-uh. I don’t really like [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], I don’t normally like names ending with an ee sound.

I just hear “hello, dear” when I say it. Am I saying it right?

I think [name_f]Elodia[/name_f] & [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] would make a lovely duo. I do think the X is a little harsh next to the very soft and sweet [name_f]Elodia[/name_f], which is why I would definitely prefer [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f]. I also like that that both have Spanish/Italian origins too, which link them together.

I 100% agree with this. I think [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] & [name_f]Elodia[/name_f] would make a stunning set. I like [name_f]Elodia[/name_f], not more than [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] but it’s beautiful.
