Elodia

I am wondering what you guys think of [name_f]Elodia[/name_f]? [name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce it? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like it? [name_m]How[/name_m] usable is [name_f]Elodia[/name_f] in the UK? It would only be a middle name.

Thanks in advance.

I love many -ia names, and I also love [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], so therefore really like [name_f]Elodia[/name_f]. I think as a middle name anything - except for the inappropriate - pretty much anything goes, especially a name that already has a pedigree of sorts. I have no clue how it’s supposed to be pronounced, but my bet is that the stress is supposed to be on the last syllable, the -dia part. However I think many Germanic language speakers would have a tendency to stress the middle part, the ‘lo’ part, which is charming in its own way but in my opinion packs less of a punch.

[name_f]Elodia[/name_f]'s great! I prefer [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] but I like how elegant [name_f]Elodia[/name_f] sounds.
I’d pronounce it as el-OH-dee-ah. I think it’s usable in the UK, especially since middle names aren’t brought up that often.
