Elodie and Sylvie?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all, I’m down to the last few weeks to decide, and could use some input. Our daughter’s name is [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] (goes by [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] most of the time), and we’re searching for a name for her little sister. I love the name [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], but I worry if it’s too close to [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] in sound. Two other names under consideration are [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]/Juliette and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] (love the meaning). Middle name will probably be [name_f]Sula[/name_f] to honor family.

Any advice or suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Elodie and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] are very nice together - not too close at all. [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] sounds amazing with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] too, and if you were asking, I’d say [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] would be my first choice.

Love that sibset!

They sound lovely together!

When I say [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], I have to think about how to pronounce it before saying it aloud so that to say it correctly. Personally, I don’t think [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] flows as smoothly as [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] does when said aloud. I LOVE [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]! Especially with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. The two names are chic, elegant, yet feel fresh & modern.

I think [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] sound good together. I also like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].

Elodie is distinct to [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and they fit together wonderfully. [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Sula[/name_f] is dreamy

not close at all. Similar sound but actually distinct from one another. I reallt love [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. Go for it.

You have the same naming style as I do! Our daughter is [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and if we have another girl someday she will probably be [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. I’ve also had [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] on my list for a while. Congratulations :two_hearts: You can’t go wrong with any of those names. But I think [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Sula[/name_f] sounds the dreamiest.

I like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]!

Elodie and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] are so perfect together! [name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] I also really like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] with [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lissy[/name_f] are cute!

A gorgeous sibset! [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] do not sound too similar to me at all plus [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Sula[/name_f] sounds amazingly beautiful! I would be throughly envious of sisters [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]!

I love these names! I think they go great together!

Elodie sounds great with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I suppose I was just overthinking it

I love the way they sound together!

I love [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] or [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] with [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]! You can’t go wrong with either!

When I read the title, I thought it would work best if the first girl was [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and the second [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], so happy to read that would be the case. I think it goes nicely with [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] as well and think it would be a nice alternative that’s a bit more differentiated from [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. Nickname could be [name_u]Jules[/name_u]. [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_u]Jules[/name_u] works really well too.

Sylvie and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] are good together!
I think [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] and [name_f]Elyse[/name_f] make a better sibset and are a little easier to say and a little more distinct while still being very current [name_u]French[/name_u] names.

Congrats!

Elodie, [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] are absolutely perfect for [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]’s baby sister! :two_hearts:
