My beautiful 4th baby, [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f], was born on [name_u]August[/name_u] 24th, 2017!
Older brothers [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] as well as big sister [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] are all so overjoyed to have a baby sister.
It has taken a few weeks to decide on her name. While [name_f]Iris[/name_f] was one of my absolute favourites before her birth, she just looks like an [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]! We’ve spent the past few weeks deciding on whether to give her 3 middle names (!) or to let one of the names go. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] was the name to let go :(.
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] was a name I LOVED when choosing a name for my first daughter, [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], but it just never felt or looked right for her. I’m happy to say that it is perfect for my second little girl. I’m sure it was meant to be!
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is a name I’ve loved since I was a little girl. I’ve used it here to also honour a great, great grandmother [name_f]Clara[/name_f] who was one of the only survivors of one of [name_m]New[/name_m] Zealand’s largest historic volcanic eruptions back in 1886. If she hadn’t survived, my daughters and I wouldn’t be here today. (We chose [name_f]Claire[/name_f] over [name_f]Clara[/name_f] to match the french theme in the rest of her names).
[name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] was initially my husband and youngest son’s pick. It grew on me even more when I realised it is the name of the original form of the musical instrument that I specialise in playing! I also love it’s angelic meaning.
[name_f]Welcome[/name_f] to the family, [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]!
