I love the nickname [name_f]Ella[/name_f]!

This is a name that I feel like I should love, but I just like it. It was on my list with the nickname [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] (I know, little stretch), but the husband didn’t like it. Everyone told me it’s pronounced like [name_f]Melody[/name_f] without the M and I guess I started wondering if I should just consider [name_f]Melody[/name_f] 
I love the nickname [name_f]Ella[/name_f] (we already have one in the family) and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] is different, spunky and sweet all at the same time. [name_m]Just[/name_m] my thoughts.
I think [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] might only work as a middle or with a nice middle. But it’s a good name anyway. It’s quirky, cute and has a vintage flow.
I prounce it as el-oh-de.
Like [name_f]Melody[/name_f] without the “M” in english. Eh-loh-dee in french.
I like it but it’s very, very french to me. So I feel like siblings of [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] should have equally french names.
