Help! We are having our baby girl this Friday and we had decided on clementine but we havent had favourable feedback from some family members who hate clemmie as nickname. Wondering if anyone has views on [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] or [name_f]Ava[/name_f]? We are still considering clementine but have come up with two other alternatives. Our son is [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] and he gets [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] and not sure I want [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or is [name_f]Ava[/name_f] too close to [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]??

Alternative nickname options for [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] could be: [name_f]Clea[/name_f], [name_f]Mina[/name_f], [name_f]Minnie[/name_f], [name_u]Lennie[/name_u], [name_f]Em[/name_f]/[name_f]Emme[/name_f]/[name_f]Emmie[/name_f], [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] or [name_f]Cece[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]! It’s such a great name, and sounds really neat with brother [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]! If your family doesn’t like [name_u]Clemmie[/name_u] as a nickname, perhaps [name_f]Emmie[/name_f] would be more appealing? [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is a beautiful name as well, and also goes very nicely with [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]. Good luck

I love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]! There is something so special about this name that puts it above [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] or [name_f]Ava[/name_f] for me. It feels like such a sunny, happy name. My favorite nn for it is [name_f]Emmy[/name_f].

[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is way above the others in my opinion. Someone is going to dislike any name you choose. Make it your choice, not your family’s. If they don’t like to use [name_u]Clemmie[/name_u] they can use the full name or another nickname. I know a little [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] who goes by her full name as well as both [name_u]Clemmie[/name_u] and [name_f]Minty[/name_f]. [name_f]Minta[/name_f] is another option for nn.
I agree that [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and Oli a bit cutesy-same together. I think [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is just a different name and person to [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. So I’d go with [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] if you can try to have the full name or [name_f]Elle[/name_f]. [name_f]Ava[/name_f] is lovely but I say go with [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]! It’s where your heart is.
Wow I love all 3, such a hard choice. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] are too similar, so [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is a no go for me. [name_f]Ava[/name_f] and [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] work fine together, but not my favorite. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] are amazing together, especially the nicknames [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] and [name_u]Ollie[/name_u].
