[name]Stella[/name] & [name]Violet[/name] are perfecto together.

Haha, thank you Whirligig!

[name]Stella[/name], it’s so beautiful and makes me smile. [name]Eloise[/name] seems very gloomy next to it.

[name]Ottilie[/name] - that’s a good point. [name]Stella[/name] is a very happy name and I love that about her too

And thanks for the votes/comments so far!! Much appreciated

I think [name]Stella[/name] sounds better with sister [name]Violet[/name].

[name]Stella[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] sounds wonderful, and it goes well with [name]Violet[/name].

[name]How[/name] about [name]Estella[/name]? [name]Stella[/name] is cute, but it sounds clipped/incomplete.
I am not a fan of [name]Eloise[/name]. There are other names that start with [name]El[/name] that are nicer.
My suggestion is [name]Estella[/name] [name]Louise[/name].

I prefer [name]Eloise[/name] overall, and I think [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] sounds better than [name]Stella[/name] [name]Ruby[/name], but I think [name]Stella[/name] matches better with [name]Violet[/name].

[name]Stella[/name] just reminds me of A Streetcar Named Desire. I want to like it, but I can’t get [name]Marlon[/name] [name]Brando[/name] out of my head.

2gdschildren - yeah, I think [name]Stella[/name] is a slightly better match for [name]Violet[/name] too. I think it brings out the spunk in both names even more. Castles - Thanks! I love that combo. Niteowl12 - I like [name]Estella[/name] but it’s just not for me. Really like the short and sweet [name]Stella[/name], but good suggestion. [name]Dova[/name] - I see what you mean, some names I also like but has such a strong association to things that I can’t use it…like [name]Delilah[/name] and [name]Lola[/name]. But with [name]Stella[/name] I just hear the name and not really worried about some teasing she might get. ;). [name]Eloise[/name] is so pretty and old fashioned, has nice flow as well as the great nn [name]Elle[/name]. Hard decision!

I agree with other Berries regarding [name]Stella[/name]. I think [name]Stella[/name] goes better with [name]Violet[/name]. I also think that you could still use the nickname [name]El[/name]/[name]Ella[/name] with [name]Stella[/name]. [name]IMO[/name] the nickname [name]El[/name]/[name]Ella[/name] or even [name]Ellie[/name] is not too much of a stretch. My niece is named [name]Malia[/name] and we call her [name]Lili[/name] as a nickname.

[name]Violet[/name] & [name]Stella[/name] sound great together!

Thanks for the votes and comments! About 10 weeks to go and these two are still my favorites. Actually leaning more towards [name]Eloise[/name] but [name]Stella[/name] is so great too!

I love both! I would have [name]Stella[/name] on my list but it sounds horrible with DH’s last name. I like the [name]Tennessee[/name] [name]Williams[/name] association for [name]Stella[/name], it gives it a sense of history, like [name]Daisy[/name] & the [name]Gatsby[/name] association. However, there are vastly more nicknames with [name]Eloise[/name] (which is why it’s on my list, my great grandmother was [name]Lulu[/name])

[name]Jenna[/name] - I was just thinking about that! [name]How[/name] I love all the many nn’s for [name]Eloise[/name]. I could really have fun with this one and I like how her name can evolve with her over time. [name]Elle[/name] and [name]LuLu[/name] are my all time favorites.

[name]Both[/name] [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Stella[/name] are wonderful matches for [name]Violet[/name]. However, to me, [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] seem like natural sisters.

I love [name]Eloise[/name]! I think it’s so pretty. I think it has a light happy feel to it, but still has enough substance. [name]Stella[/name] - eh, not my favorite. I think of the beer [name]Stella[/name] Artois which a lot of people drink here, and also about [name]Stella[/name] in “Streetcar”. Because of the play it always has a more somber and melodramatic feel to it for me.

[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Eloise[/name], however I think [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Stella[/name] both have a certain spunk to them that works perfectly

[name]Eloise[/name] has a spunky charm to it that I love, making it a great match for [name]Violet[/name]. [name]Elle[/name] is a great nn a well. [name]Stella[/name] is nice as well, but it’s not as great a match for [name]Violet[/name].
