Eloise

What are your thoughts on this name?

I love [name]Eloise[/name]! Years ago it was my number one girl’s name. She was in the combo [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name].

I prefer [name]Heloise[/name] in most cases now.

I love it. It’s one of my favorite girl names.

” associate it with Héloïse d’Argenteuil, scholar & wife of french medieval philosopher [name]Pierre[/name] [name]Ab[/name]élard. I think it’s a pretty name, but prefer it spelled with the “h”.

It’s been my favorite name since I was in third grade. I. [name]Love[/name]. It. It’s pretty, and delicate and cute and strong and there are so many nickname options. I like [name]Lula[/name], though it is a stretch. However, I am so scared that by the time I have a child, it will be the new [name]Isabella[/name]. (Ten to twenty years.) Or even, though unlikely, dated. It’s rising extremely fast, and I have seen a lot of new birth announcements with the name. Hopefully it will stay that offbeat but familiar name. My combo for it is [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Story[/name].

I love it.
Quirky glam simple and fun all at once.
Years ago it was my #1 name, and I planned to do an [name]Eloise[/name] at the Plaza themed nursery…haha. It doesn’t top my list anymore, but the room could still happen. Loved that book growing up.

I really like [name]Eloise[/name] too. It’s pretty, not too popular yet people will know how to pronounce it and spell it. I don’t know if I would use it though, due to the meaning -“healthy & wide” -if I were a little girl with that name, I might feel a bit odd about the “wide” part.

[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Eloise[/name]

Our [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Cleo[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] goes by [name]Lola[/name] a bunch which is fun!

xo [name]Viv[/name]

I like it but I personally wouldn’t use it on my own children. Despite what some other people think I like it without the H better-and [name]Lola[/name] is such a cute nn.

I love it! I’ve never heard of with the H and definitely prefer it without! I think its pretty without being too frilly

[name]One[/name] of my new favourites!

I am in love with [name]Eloise[/name]. My mom was named [name]Ellen[/name] and died when I was in high school so my sister and I always knew we wanted our daughters to have “[name]El[/name]” names to honor her when we have children. My sister loves [name]Ellie[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] but I’ve always loved [name]Eloise[/name]. My mom used to read the book to us all the time when we were little and I just loved her spunk. As a quiet, shy child I always fell in love with the most outrageous and outgoing and enthusiastic characters and [name]Eloise[/name] was definitely that!

I do worry about it becoming more popular than I would normally like but I think it is tied to enough happy memories for that to sway me. Plus, whenever I tell people I like the name I usually get a grimace and some comment on the “weeze” sound in the name so I might be safe!
