I’m due with my 1st girl in 8 weeks. After 4 boys it’s exciting but I can’t believe how hard it is to come up with a name. I came across the name [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] somewhere and immediately discounted it, then couldn’t get it out of my head. I found myself saying it over and over lol. I had originally been kind of obsessed with [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and I still really love the name but I think I’m leaning towards using it as a middle name, if I use it. What opinions do you guys have on the two? Which sounds better? My last name is similar to “[name_m]Night[/name_m]” so I’m a little worried about the n in [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] blending too much with my last name. Or am I over thinking it?
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] sounds great together. Such a spunky and bright name [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] “[name_m]Night[/name_m]” does blend a bit, but I don’t think it’s a deal breaker. [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] “[name_m]Night[/name_m]” is pretty, too.
I really like [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], it’s charming and elegant. I don’t think [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] ‘[name_m]Night[/name_m]’ is too N heavy.
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] is my favourite out of the two names.
I think [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_m]Night[/name_m] has a prettier flow whereas [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_m]Night[/name_m] feels more blended together and the flow doesn’t sound that great. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_m]Night[/name_m] has a great sound, feels feminine and elegant.
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] rolls off of the tongue rather oddly so I definitely prefer [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. I don’t think it will be too N heavy, you should be fine
I think [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] has a slightly better flow than [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], but I much prefer [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] to [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. I would have to go with [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. I don’t think [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_m]Night[/name_m] sounds bad at all. At the end of the day choose whichever first name you love more.
