I like both, but the pronunciation of Elowen is more obvious and would be much easier for her to live with, in my opinion. I like it.

I far prefer Elowen. I think [name]Rowena[/name], pronounced as you are saying it is pretty but most people are going to pronounce it Row-ee-na, which sounds so whiney to me.

I say [name]Rowena[/name] the same way you do - when it was on my list, I had it spelled Rowenna, though I don’t know if I would do that anymore.

I absolutely love both names.

I definitely prefer Elowen, which has a lovely sound: musical and somehow soft and strong. I think that people will say [name]Ro[/name]-ween-a, and I don’t like the “ween” sound.
