Elroe?

About two weeks ago I interviewed a centenarian–a man who just turned 100–and wrote a story on him for a small community newspaper. Today I learned that he passed away yesterday. He was one of five children, and when I interviewed him I thought he called his one sister “Elroe” but it wasn’t very clear. Today’s obituary confirms it. [name]One[/name] of his sisters was Elroe (“[name]ELL[/name]-ro”). Thoughts on it?

It kind of reminds me of [name]Elroy[/name], not a huge fan.

The sound is interesting! I kind of like it, but I agree that it also reminds me of the more familiar and much less appealing [name]Elroy[/name].

It reminds me of Beroe, among other things an oceanid from Greek mythology…
Very interesting name ^^ I really like the sound, but not that I can’t find any information on it.

Maybe change [name]Ro[/name] to [name]Rue[/name]. Still gives a uniqueness. Ellro made me think of [name]Elmo[/name]

Sounds like something Scooby Doo would say.

LOL. You’re right. I wouldn’t have thought of that.

I thought it was a boy name when I first saw it.

LOL. Scooby Doo saying [name]Elmo[/name] or something lol.
