What are your thoughts on the combo [name]Elsie[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]? Also, what are your overall opinions on the name [name]Elsie[/name]? Thanks!
[name]Elsie[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] is nice and sweet. Neither name is my style, but I still think it works.
In general, I think [name]Elsie[/name] is a bit too cutesy as a standalone FN, but it is sweet and cute as a nn. I personally just prefer [name]Elsa[/name], and I think [name]Elsa[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] nn [name]Elsie[/name] would be lovely. I think [name]Elspeth[/name], nn [name]Elsie[/name], could work, too.
Good luck!
I agree that [name]Elsie[/name] is a bit cutesy, and actually the first thing it reminds me of is a song from Rent: “Out of the abyss walked a cow…[name]Elsie[/name]!” (Not that that is necessarily bad - I love Rent! - and really not a widespread association, I am sure!)
But overall, I think [name]Elsie[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] flows really nicely together. I do agree that [name]Elsa[/name] (nn [name]Elsie[/name]) might age a bit better though.
I think [name]Elsie[/name] is adorable but better as a nickname! [name]Elsa[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] sounds better to me, the flow just works here.
Hmm, well I really dislike the name [name]Elsa[/name] (due to an association). And I really don’t like any of the other names that [name]Elsie[/name] could be a nickname for. Plus I would call her [name]Elsie[/name] ALL of the time anyway, so shouldn’t I just name her that? I feel like it would be more of a pain to have a given name that you never go by…
[name]Elsie[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] is adorable! I have a hard time imaginging an adult named this, but it’s livable. If you really love it, then use it.
