Too clunky?
[name_f]Libby[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] - cute nickname or just plain saccharine?
Thoughts?

I think [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is very pretty. Though [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] is a Scottish variation of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Liese[/name_f] is a [name_m]German[/name_m] variation of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. This name would be [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], if that makes sense.
Ahh, good to know. That does make it kind of funny, though I don’t think the average American would notice.
There are four grandmothers - one with the middle name [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], one with a late mother named [name_f]Libby[/name_f], and two with the middle name [name_f]Ann[/name_f]…maybe I will dig up more [name_f]Ann[/name_f] names.
I agree. I am guessing that many would not know. I forget to add to my first post that I really like the nickname [name_f]Libby[/name_f]. My combo of [name_u]Story[/name_u] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] honors my late grandma and my late sister. My late sister’s name was [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] means [name_f]Ann[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_u]Story[/name_u] is for my grandma.
You could use [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] with a nickname [name_f]Libby[/name_f].
That’s a sweet namesake! You’re right; [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] would cover all four grandmas, which would be pretty awesome.
Thank you.
I love names that honor, it makes them very special.
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is such a gorgeous name.
I like [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] though if you’re planning on calling her [name_f]Libby[/name_f] then I’d go for [name_f]Elsbeth[/name_f] instead
