[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] would count as an honour name for B3th, or should I use [name_f]Elsbeth[/name_f]? I realise they sound almost identical, but I still prefer [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f].
I prefer [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] to [name_f]Elsbeth[/name_f], I think it still works and it’s the sentiment behind it rather than it sounding exactly the same.
So happy to see a post about this name. As you can see in my signature [name_f]Elsbeth[/name_f] is one of my favorite names. I think either [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] could be used to honor [name_f]Beth[/name_f]. Both are forms of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I prefer [name_f]Elsbeth[/name_f] over [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] but both are lovely.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] and I think it works as an honor name.
I agree with the previous posters, [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] would honor [name_f]Beth[/name_f] just fine!
I recommend using your preferred spelling.
I like this name more than [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but I much prefer the [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f] spelling.
