Elva or Einin?

My daughter is now a day old and I still cannot decide between two names.

Elva or Einin (ay-neen)?

Any input??

I really like [name_f]Elva[/name_f]! It has a nice sound + cool meaning and I love the nn [name_f]Elvie[/name_f]

[name_f]Elva[/name_f] is stunning! Congratulations!

I love the sweetness of Einin, and the possibilities for the nicknames [name_m]Nin[/name_m] and [name_f]Nina[/name_f], but they’re both wonderful choices!

I love [name_f]Elva[/name_f]! Congratulations!

I like them both (and big congrats!) but because of ease of pronunciation (and sparing your daughter some potential hassle, depending on where she lives), because it’s lovely to say, and it’s impossibly great meaning, I would go for [name_f]Elva[/name_f].

Also, I might be way off (especially if you’re Irish!) but apparently Einin needs fadas to make sense to [name_u]Irish[/name_u] speakers, is that right? Éinín? (Either way, it will likely get non-Irish speakers likely thinking it’s Ein like Einstein, and it could get misheard/ mistaken for ‘Hey Nine’ as in ‘Hey Nina’.)

[name_f]Elva[/name_f] for sure. Einen would have a lot of pronunciation issues

Ahh, tough choice, but I think I’m going with the mystical, sharp, sweet [name_f]Elva[/name_f]

[name_f]Elva[/name_f] by a long way. Both strong and ethereal. Congratulations!

[name_m]Ah[/name_m], I have to vote for [name_f]Elva[/name_f] since it’s a long term favourite of mine, but Einin is also sweet and unexpected. Congratulations!
