I love the name [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] ([name_f]Emmie[/name_f])
It would be [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] Xxxa (four letter last name ending in ‘a’).
While I like every jewel and natural name, ny husband likes less hippy names, nothing nature inspired, or that sounds like a noun, nothing too “stripper” (sorry, that’s his take - “Why don’t we just name the baby [name_f]Chardonnay[/name_f] then?”)
But- he said maybe about [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Emmie[/name_f]. Yay.
[name_f]Emerald[/name_f] is a gorgeous name! I love it. It is probably within my top 10 names for girls. If I were to use [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] I would also use the nn [name_f]Emmy[/name_f].
[name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is classic and timeless yet still a touch of unique.
[name_f]Emerald[/name_f] is a pretty name and [name_f]Emmie[/name_f] is a sweet nn. I like unique names with a more common cute nn. I don’t think [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] or any gemstone name (diamond, ruby) is hippyish. They have a more elegant vibe than a hippy vibe to me.
Its both and that is ok. Pretty name and so unused. I knew a girl name [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] and she had a big bright personality and her sister’s name was [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]! [name_f]Jewel[/name_f] names are great. I knew a [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] and several Diamonds, one was even a boy. I say go for [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] nn emmy which is super cute.
I know someone that recently named her baby [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] and uses the nick name [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]/[name_f]Emmie[/name_f]. I think it’s adorable.
I love [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] nn.[name_f]Emmie[/name_f]. It was more of a GP for me until I was watching Call The Midwife (BBC) and noticed that one of the actresses was called [name_f]Emerald[/name_f]. It really suits her and helped with imagining the name on an adult. Besides, with [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Opal[/name_f] and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] around, why not?!
I actually really like [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] nn [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]/ie. I’m not crazy about alliteration but [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is nice.
