Emeraude Abyssinia

Your honest feedback, please. Alternate suggestions welcome. Thank you!

I really love [name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] a lot. It has this sort of heavy drapy feel, but yet the colour imagery I get from it is so pretty and happy, a bright emerald green.
[name_f]Abyssinia[/name_f] is an interesting one. My first thought is “abyss” when I hear/see it. It is a name that has a lot of potential, but for some reason I’m not loving it with [name_f]Emeraude[/name_f]. I think because it also feels sort of “heavy” and then both names together get to be abit much.
So if it was up to me, I’d replace [name_f]Abyssinia[/name_f] with a more light and soft middle name. Something that doesn’t feel quite so weighty, but still keeps the unusual and somewhat mystical feeling. Maybe:

[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_u]Alijah[/name_u]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_f]Auriel[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_u]Averill[/name_u]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_f]Damara[/name_f]

[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_f]Lettice[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_f]Leticia[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_f]Loire[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_f]Mirella[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_f]Moselle[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] Ruah
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_f]Shoshana[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_f]Tirzah[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_f]Tullia[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_f]Viridienne[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_u]Yael[/name_u]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_f]Yara[/name_f]
[name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] [name_u]Zuri[/name_u]

These do feel a little random, as I’m not exactly sure what you’d be looking for in a middle name other then [name_f]Abyssinia[/name_f]. I went with some [name_m]French[/name_m] inspiration, like [name_f]Emeraude[/name_f]. Some ancient names, place inspired, like [name_f]Abyssinia[/name_f]. Some Biblical or Hebrew. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a mixture.

Honestly, I find it a bit much. Both names feel both very flowery AND very uncommon. I think the beauty of either one of the names would have more room to shine if paired with something either a bit shorter or a bit more common.

To my surprise I find I like [name_f]Emeraude[/name_f], but I think it may be because it seems like a smush of [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Maude[/name_f].

I don’t like abbysinnia at all. It feels heavy and depressing. Creative idea though.

The name as a whole is way too heavy and [name_f]IMO[/name_f] unpleasant. [name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] is not terrible (just not my style). I agree with the above user of it sounding like a smush of [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Maude[/name_f]. Personally I would only use it as a middle name. [name_f]Abyssinia[/name_f] just reminds me of a deep, dark, never-ending abyss. It’s extremely depressing.

For me its a bit excessive. [name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] is kind of pretty, but I really don’t like Abyssina.

For a guilty pleasure, I see the appeal, though like the prior posters, I prefer [name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] with a simpler middle. If this is for a real child, however, I’d recommend using neither. [name_f]Emeraude[/name_f] will be constantly misheard for [name_f]Emerald[/name_f], I guarantee. Is that a name you would be happy with instead? I’d still recommend dropping [name_f]Abyssinia[/name_f] here, too, as it sounds like you’re describing a green cat.
