Hello all… we are in desparate need of help finding a name for our little girl who is due today! I appreciate any suggestions at all. We have a small list of names… for both first and middle names, but we really can not decide… I am British and my husband is Italian… we like foreign sounding names and we are looking for something unique!
[name]Selena[/name] - prbably my fav of the bunch
[name]Roxana[/name]
[name]Elysia[/name]
[name]Ariana[/name]
[name]Giada[/name]
[name]Amaia[/name]
[name]Selena[/name]'s probably me fav of the bunch. [name]Roxana[/name]'s cute but I’m not that fussed on [name]Roxie[/name] or Rox. [name]Elysia[/name] seems a little trendy to me as does [name]Amaia[/name].
[name]Selena[/name] is my favourite, hands down. [name]Selena[/name] [name]Amaia[/name] might be a vute combo, if it’s not too sing-songy for your taste.
Are you hoping to make a combo out of the names on this list? Or are you looking for other middle name suggestions to go with these first names?
I think all your names are very pretty. [name]Do[/name] any sound better with your last name than others? My personal favorites are [name]Selena[/name], [name]Roxana[/name], and [name]Ariana[/name], but they’re all nice. [name]Elysia[/name] might be seen as made-up (even though it’s not) because of the Y in the name, so if that’s a concern then I would maybe go with one of the other choices. [name]Giada[/name] could get pronunciation problems-- do you live in [name]Italy[/name] or somewhere else?
[name]Selena[/name] - not a fan sorry
[name]Roxana[/name] - like this (esp like [name]Roxie[/name] - very cute)
[name]Elysia[/name] - is unusual but think it would be misspelled/heard as [name]Alyssia[/name] all the time.
[name]Ariana[/name] - like it
[name]Giada[/name] - don’t like
[name]Amaia[/name] - like this but prefer the [name]Amaya[/name] spelling
I like the combinations (I have altered some of your names as I don’t think 2 a endings flow well in a name):
[name]Amaya[/name] [name]Roxanne[/name]
[name]Ariana[/name] [name]Elyse[/name]
[name]Roxana[/name] [name]Selene[/name]
[name]Elysia[/name] [name]May[/name]/[name]Maeve[/name]
Other names you may like:
[name]Sienna[/name]
[name]Vienna[/name]
[name]Celeste[/name]
[name]Aria[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Reina[/name]
[name]Amara[/name]
[name]Elena[/name]
[name]Evelia[/name] - pn eh-vay-lee-a
[name]Natalia[/name]
[name]Natasha[/name]
[name]Giulia[/name]
[name]Giuliana[/name]
[name]Mariella[/name]
[name]Katerina[/name]
[name]Amira[/name]
[name]Kaia[/name]
[name]Isis[/name]
I love the name [name]Sienna[/name] [name]Roxanne[/name] or [name]Sienna[/name] [name]Elyse[/name].
What do you think?
[name]Don[/name]'t worry, I went to the hospital with 3 possible first names and around 12 possible middles - you’ll get there in the end, it’ll be fine!
So, do you live in [name]Britain[/name], [name]Italy[/name], [name]America[/name], or somewhere completely different? [name]How[/name] long is your last name? [name]Do[/name] you have any other children?
Off the list, I don’t particularly care for [name]Amaia[/name] or [name]Ariana[/name], and both feel a bit trendier, or more popular, than I think you’d like. [name]Giada[/name] is pretty, but I like [name]Gia[/name] or [name]Giana[/name] more. [name]Elysia[/name] is pretty, too, but it does feel a little bit strange to me - I can’t put my finger on it! [name]Roxana[/name] is lovely and definitely unique, and [name]Roxy[/name] would be a fun nickname. [name]Selena[/name] is very nice, but I don’t think it is too uncommon - I think [name]Selena[/name] and [name]Serena[/name] are on the rise, honestly. It’s very pretty, though, and I like [name]Sela[/name] as a nickname! I like [name]Sela[/name] on its own, actually - it’s Hebrew, and it means “rock.” Off your list, [name]Roxana[/name] is my favorite, followed by [name]Selena[/name]!
Since she is going to be born in [name]July[/name], you might want to honor her birth month. [name]July[/name]'s birth stone is the ruby, so [name]Ruby[/name] or [name]Rubina[/name] - you could call her “[name]Rubi[/name]” - are both nice options. One of [name]July[/name]'s birth flowers is the water lily, so the Italian [name]Liliana[/name] is perfect. [name]Lily[/name] and its variants are rather popular, so [name]Liliana[/name] might make a nice middle name.
So, what about [name]Roxana[/name] [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Rubina[/name] [name]Lillian[/name], [name]Selena[/name] [name]Ruby[/name], or [name]Sela[/name] [name]Rubina[/name]? Good luck!
I really love the idea that [name]Lemon[/name] suggested - [name]Ruby[/name] for [name]July[/name]'s birthstone! I think it is a very sweet way to give the name meaning!
Off your list I would choose [name]Roxana[/name]. I actually prefer [name]Selena[/name], but it is getting very popular. [name]Elysia[/name] and [name]Amaia[/name] seem a bit more trendy. [name]Giada[/name] is okay, but I think there would be pronunciation issues.
Good luck! 'ake sure to let us know what name you chose!
