I’m checking in to the hospital in 2 hours and I need some Nameberry help! My husband and I have narrowed our name choices down to two. I need some opinions/advice from neutral parties:
Choice #1: [name]Henry[/name] [name]Walter[/name] – [name]Henry[/name] is a classic name that we both like, and [name]Walter[/name] is my father’s name
Choice #2: [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Wyatt[/name] – [name]Samuel[/name] ([name]Sam[/name]) has always been at the top of my list. It’s my great-grandfather’s name, plus I love the story of [name]Hannah[/name] and her son, [name]Samuel[/name], in the Bible. [name]Wyatt[/name] has no sentimental value, but husband likes it.
If I go with [name]Samuel[/name] (which husband isn’t crazy about),then he gets to choose the middle name (and I don’t get to use my father’s name). If We go with [name]Henry[/name], then I can use my father’s name for the middle name. BTW, our last name begins with a B (2 syllables).
Nameberries, I need your help–which do you prefer? Thank you!
Well, both are fantastic choices, so it’s hard to go wrong. I really like [name]Henry[/name] [name]Walter[/name]. [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Wyatt[/name] sounds very rugged/western to me, but in a good way.
[name]Both[/name] great names, but I would go with [name]Henry[/name] [name]Walter[/name]. You both agree on it and it has family significance. I love it!
Oo, both are very good choices. It might be best to just wait and see if he looks like a [name]Henry[/name] or a [name]Samuel[/name]. Personally though, I like [name]Sam[/name] a smidge more.
