Considering this name, pronounced eh-MEEL.
Thoughts on the spelling? I don’t like [name_m]Emile[/name_m] right now…too feminine for me.

I like it spelled [name_m]Emil[/name_m].
I vote for [name_m]Emil[/name_m]. It could be lengthened to [name_m]Emilien[/name_m], [name_m]Emilio[/name_m].
If not [name_m]Emile[/name_m], then definitely [name_m]Emil[/name_m].
[name_m]Emil[/name_m]. I am tempted to pronounce the other option EH-mee-el… Like [name_u]Ariel[/name_u], [name_m]Azrael[/name_m], [name_m]Rafael[/name_m].
Sorry but [name_m]Emile[/name_m] is the only and automatic spelling for me, [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] the name. X
I love [name_m]Emile[/name_m] [name_m]Hirsch[/name_m] so I love that spelling.
However, Either spelling (Emil or Emile) you use will be fine as this is a solid name.
Emiel seems to suggest an eh-mee-el pronunciation like vc2013 said.
[name_m]Emile[/name_m] and [name_m]Emil[/name_m] are both legitimate spellings. Emiel is not and makes me want to pronounce it differently, like a PP mentioned. I like the name, but definitely go with [name_m]Emil[/name_m]. 
[name_m]Emile[/name_m] is definitely my fav, but since you don’t like it, go with [name_m]Emil[/name_m]. Emiel just looks as if you don’t know how to spell properly…
My favorite name that [name_m]Emil[/name_m] would be an awesome nn for is [name_m]Emilian[/name_m]! [name_f]Love[/name_f] it!

I read Emiel as “eh-m’yell” like the word “miel” (honey) with an E before it.
I think [name_m]Emil[/name_m] is all right. It gets a fair amount of attention on here for how uncommon it is, so that could be a good thing- well liked but not popular.
