Emile and........?

I’m 30 weeks pregnant and so stumped on our baby boy name. My husband is from [name_f]Argentina[/name_f] and me the US, so we’re trying to agree on a name that we both love and our families can both pronounce. So far, I’ve loved short names like [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], [name_m]Aldo[/name_m], Astor … I know most people have told me they love [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], but it does sound quite harsh in Spanish and my husband doesn’t like it. Any ideas on names that go with [name_m]Emile[/name_m]? For some reason, I’m drawn toward short names that begin with E, A, I…?? Who knows why?!

[name_m]Emile[/name_m] is a great name! Some possibilities:

My son’s name is [name_m]Emile[/name_m]! It is a lovely name, and he won’t be one of many kids in his class with the same name… I’m a [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] from the 70s, so I was very conscious of this when naming my kids. We gave him my maiden name as a middle name. There are a lot of good suggestions above, but I was very happy with using family names for my kids. [name_m]Emile[/name_m] is named after his late great-grandfather, and my daughter is named after her late great-grandmother. My husband and I were able to pay tribute to the grandparent who we were the closest to by naming our kids after them. I love the sentimentality of it, and the added bonus that they will be the only kids in their class with their names. [name_f]Do[/name_f] either of you have a male relative who you feel particularly close to who has a name that sounds good with [name_m]Emile[/name_m]?

I’m a ‘[name_f]Jessica[/name_f] from the 80s’ so I know where you’re coming from ‘[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] from the 70s.’ I also gave [name_m]Emile[/name_m] my maiden name as a middle name  My husband and I both come from Hispanic families but I consider myself American and him Argentinean. we have [name_m]Gustavo[/name_m], [name_m]Jose[/name_m], [name_m]Pablo[/name_m], [name_m]Alfredo[/name_m], [name_m]Enrique[/name_m] in our family…but nothing I’m particularly drawn to. My husbands brothers name and the godfather of this baby is [name_m]Martin[/name_m]. But my husband can’t be convinced!
