[name_f]Emma[/name_f], much sweeter and nicer.

[name_f]Emma[/name_f], classic and versatile. One of my favourite names. It’s cute in a kid but can easily be imagined on a person of any age and suits so many personalities. I know an [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and an [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] but I have [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] on my shortlist.

[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] is nice but I feel like it’s just a trendier version of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. I know it’s not but it just feels that way to me. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is another of my favourite names though if that’s an option. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Willow[/name_u] is on my list.

I really like Emma, it’s classic, and feminine.

But I absolutely love Emilia! Sophisticated and elegant. Definitely a classic in my eyes, also sounds better in several different languages than Amelia, and has some lovely NN.

Honestly, you can’t go wrong.

I prefer the simple [name_f]Emma[/name_f], but both are nice.

[name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Emma[/name_f] ! As someone who grew up in a town where I was the only [name_f]Emma[/name_f], people STILL called me [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m], and other similar names all the time by mistake. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is also one of the most popular names for girls and if you do choose it for your little girl, just be aware that she will likely come home saying “I met a friend today with the same name as me!” A lot

That being said, [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] has always been a name I’ve loved. I also think [name_f]Emmalina[/name_f] may be a cross between the two if you can’t decide

I’d choose [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]! Both are lovely names, but I feel like [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is overused and has been so popular for such a long time. [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] is still familiar but a little more unique. [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] also has such a fun and fresh feel to me!

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] for it’s simplicity, [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] for its versatility (lots of NN options such as [name_f]Mila[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f], Emmy)

Both are lovely names. Choosing which one to name your child really depends on what their middle and last names will be. For example; let’s say her middle name is [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and last name is [name_m]Moss[/name_m].

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_m]Moss[/name_m] - [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_m]Moss[/name_m]
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] [name_m]Moss[/name_m] - [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_m]Moss[/name_m]

I’d go with [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] - it flows and rolls off the tongue so much better in all respects.

If her middle name were [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and her last name [name_m]Williams[/name_m], I’d go with [name_f]Emma[/name_f].

[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_m]Williams[/name_m] - [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_m]Williams[/name_m]
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_m]Williams[/name_m] - [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_m]Williams[/name_m]

In this case [name_f]Emma[/name_f] flows a lot better - [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] sounds quite silly.

Good luck

To me, [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] has always felt like a trendier way to spell [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. So I’m biased towards [name_f]Emma[/name_f], which despite its mega-popularity is still sweet, friendly, easy to spell and say.

I’m on the [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] train! I like that it is more distinctive but still familiar, offers more versatility of nicknames, including [name_f]Emma[/name_f], and has a bit of European flair to it
