Hello everyone! Hubby and I finally decided to name our daughter Emily. These are the middle names we are considering. Jade is his top choice and I like it, but I don’t love it. We are a French/English bilingual family and big brother is Samuel Evan. All honest opinions welcome.
Emily Elizabeth Greenfield
Emily Jade Greenfield
Emily Jasmine Greenfield
Emily Josephine Greenfield
Emily Louise Greenfield
Emily Rebecca Greenfield
Thank you for all the responses we’ve had so far on my other posts!
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] is the perfect combination of spunk and style! [name_f]Emily[/name_f] is classic and sweet, while [name_u]Louise[/name_u] is chic and vintage. I love the two together!
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] makes me feel all cozy! I love it so much and makes me think of [name_m]Clifford[/name_m] the big red dog, which is a super cute connection in my eyes!
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] Greenfield!! I love the difference in syllables (3-1-2) and you get the bonus nn EJ! [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] is so darling and I’m glad your husband likes it too!
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]! [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] would be such a cute nickname but as a whole it’s a beautiful name. [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is lovely too!
Warmest congratulations, @misskiwi! [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] would be my first choice, followed by [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u].
I like [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] or [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is also warm and cozy as mentioned by others. I find [name_u]Louise[/name_u] a little underwhelming but Im not a big fan of it. [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] is actually really pretty with [name_f]Emily[/name_f] and unexpected which I rather like. [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] is also classic but not overused so it has some charm as well. Hard decision. I think [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] goes best with [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_u]Evan[/name_u].
Personally, I wouldn’t use [name_f]Jade[/name_f] when your last name starts with [name_u]Green[/name_u]- as [name_f]Jade[/name_f] is a type of green stone so it’s a bit colour heavy!
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u] is my favourite from your list anyway. As @crabbycuties said, [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] is an adorable nickname.
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is perfect! I also love [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (the fn and mn of [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_m]Dickinson[/name_m], actually!) and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f].
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] is the standout beautiful combo for me! I also like [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. 3rd choice is [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. For me [name_f]Jade[/name_f] (like Louise) is very much over-used as a middle and doesn’t really add anything to [name_f]Emily[/name_f]. The sounds work fine though.
Congratulations from another [name_f]Emily[/name_f]! I love my name and always have. It’s sweet, very girly w/out being over the top, and it sounds like it could be a pioneer or a queen. (Now I feel a bit self conscious bragging on my own name, but, hey, it was a gift!) [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is my favorite. I think [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] accentuates Emily’s elegance, and the combo reminds me that [name_f]Emily[/name_f] is a vintage name, and gives it the resulting charm.
