[name]Love[/name] [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Claire[/name] with your older daughter’s name
I wouldn’t skip [name]Julian[/name] just because you’ll use [name]John[/name] for a boy, but I like [name]Emmeline[/name] better.
Hello, [name]Erin[/name]!
I voted for [name]Emmeline[/name]. I think it’s more classic/vintage like [name]Annabelle[/name] while [name]Cadence[/name] is trendier. [name]Cadence[/name] is gaining popularity, and reminds me of [name]Caden[/name]/[name]Jaden[/name]/[name]Aiden[/name] and their many alternate spellings. Considering that it went from #957 in 2002 to #212 in 2010, I think it would be in the Top 100 within the next couple of years.
If you like both names, what do you think of [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Cadence[/name]?
Also, if you’re worried about having [name]Jillian[/name] and [name]John[/name] together, what about [name]Gillian[/name]? I’m pretty sure that the “G” spelling is the original anyways…
Good luck!
Oopsy meant [name]Jillian[/name] ![]()
I voted for [name]Emmeline[/name]…lovely!
[name]Emmeline[/name] is beautiful!
You really think [name]Cadence[/name] is trendy? [name]Even[/name] though its not, I think it has the image/feel of a vintage name. It actually has similar rankings to [name]Annabelle[/name], which I am anxious to see the growth in popularity for when the 2009 names are released… we’ll see soon if [name]Cadence[/name] is really jumping up also.
I actually think [name]Emmeline[/name] could end up being super trendy because of the popularity of [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Emily[/name], and I don’t like either of those- I would worry about [name]Emmeline[/name] getting lost in a sea of Emmas and Emilys!! (although I don’t see many of them around here).
I was expecting everyone to tell me that [name]Annabelle[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name] are too similar to each other to be sisters. Is the matchiness clouded over by everyone’s love of the name?
One last thing- [name]Gillian[/name] (with a G) just doesn’t work for me- it would have to be [name]Jillian[/name].
Oh, I forgot- [name]Cadence[/name] doesn’t remind me at all of [name]Jaden[/name] and crew- I think of it as completely its own individual name. [name]Do[/name] others see it as a variation of those too popular -aden names?
I wouldn’t exactly say it’s trendy, just trendier than [name]Emmeline[/name]. [name]Emmeline[/name] could end up popular, but it will take some time since it’s not even in the Top 1000 yet. In terms of popularity, I agree that [name]Cadence[/name] would match [name]Annabelle[/name] better.
[name]Emmeline[/name] and [name]Annabelle[/name] look a bit similar, but they don’t sound like they are.
If you use the [name]Jillian[/name] spelling and [name]John[/name], I don’t think it’s too close or theme-y.
[name]Cadence[/name] isn’t too close to the -aden names, it just contains [name]Aden[/name] so it is a bit similar.
It sounds to me like you yourself are more for [name]Cadence[/name], and were just looking for backup. If you like that better than use it, but I agree with the trendiness. It reminds me of [name]Caedon[/name] or [name]Kaden[/name] and I know like 4 of those born in the last year
[name]Cadence[/name] is a very recent invention. I don’t see it as related to the male -aden names - not that its rise is unrelated. Names often go up just because they sound similar to other popular names. For example, [name]Mason[/name] is unrelated to the previously popular [name]Jason[/name], but its rise is probably linked.
I voted for [name]Emmeline[/name]. I just think that it is prettier. Also, in the last two years among friends and family, there have been four [name]Cadence[/name]/Kadences born, so I feel that name is already a bit overused. That’s just me though.
Definitely [name]Emmeline[/name]! Such a beautiful name, and it goes very nicely with [name]Annabelle[/name].
Ok, so if I do go with [name]Emmeline[/name], I need to know I won’t be totally stuck finding another girl’s name that goes with [name]Annabelle[/name] & [name]Emmeline[/name]. What do you think goes well?
[name]Annabelle[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name] & _____________
With [name]Annabelle[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name], I would use a long, feminine name.
[name]Annabelle[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name], and…
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Jessamine[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name]
[name]Miranda[/name]
[name]Veronica[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]/[name]Juliette[/name]
I voted for [name]Emmeline[/name] because it’s not only a lovely name, but [name]Annie[/name] annd [name]Emmy[/name] sound cute together as nicknames.
[name]Hi[/name]! Here’s another vote for [name]Annabelle[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name]! [name]Annabelle[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name] are both vintage names, while [name]Cadence[/name] feels modern to me.
[name]Annabelle[/name], [name]Emmeline[/name], and:
[name]Cecily[/name]
[name]Cecilia[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Juliette[/name] (but not with [name]Jillian[/name]–they’re both forms of [name]Julia[/name])
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name]
Good luck!
My vote is for [name]Emmeline[/name]
Wow, [name]Emmeline[/name] is a runaway winner, but I actually think I like [name]Cadence[/name] better now! [name]Even[/name] though it is a newer name, it really has a vintage feel to me, and I don’t see it as being trendy. Something about [name]Annabelle[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name] together just doesn’t work the more I see it and look at it. We’ll see, I still have time to change my mind or come up with a new name all together!!
[name]Emmeline[/name] sounds adorable with [name]Annabelle[/name]. It’s my great grandma’s name and I’ve always thought it was fabulous.
