Emmy, Emme or Emmi ?

[name_m]Just[/name_m] curious as to which spelling do you prefer?

Thank you!

To me, [name_f]Emmi[/name_f]/e looks trendy and [name_f]Emme[/name_f] I’d pronounce as ‘em’ or ‘emma’ like [name_f]Lotte[/name_f] is ‘lotta’.

I much prefer [name_f]Emmy[/name_f].

My family calls me [name_f]Emmy[/name_f], and that’s how we spell it. Also, if it is short for [name_f]Emily[/name_f], you can spell it [name_f]Emi[/name_f].

[name_f]Emmy[/name_f] for sure.

[name_f]Emmie[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]
I have no idea whether people want [name_f]Emme[/name_f] to be pronounced [name_f]Em[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmie[/name_f], I automatically pronounce it [name_f]Em[/name_f]

[name_f]Emme[/name_f] is odd.

[name_f]Emmi[/name_f] is misspelled.

To me, anyway.

I think I’m the odd one out here, but I like [name_f]Emme[/name_f] best. It’s a cute name however you choose to spell it!

thank you for the responses!

Definitely [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]!

[name_f]Emmy[/name_f], definitely.

[name_f]Emmy[/name_f] seems to be the most intuitive spelling.

I want to pronounce [name_f]Emme[/name_f] as [[name_f]Em[/name_f]] — it reminds me of [name_m]French[/name_m] names like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f].
[name_f]Emmi[/name_f] reminds me of those dated faux-feminine names, like [name_f]Nanci[/name_f], [name_f]Kristi[/name_f], or [name_f]Tiffani[/name_f].

[name_f]Emi[/name_f] is cleaner and pretty

Definitely [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] for me!
