Looking for opinions on these names, both individually and together.
What do you think of when you hear them, any negative connotations come to mind?
Not pregnant, just looking for the future.
[name_m]Emrys[/name_m] sounds nearly feminine, but I think it could definitely work as a boy’s name! It so cool and unique
I like [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] as well! It definitely sounds more masculine to me, a proud and strong name.
Thanks! I love [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] a lot and never really thought of it as feminine before, do you think it would be too feminine next to [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] as names for brothers?
It could, but honestly I think it would work just fine as a sibset! [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] and [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] sounds great together. They even work as middle names for each other!
[name_m]Emrys[/name_m] [name_u]Tristan[/name_u]
[name_u]Tristan[/name_u] [name_m]Emrys[/name_m]
My first thought I’d [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], since both names have ties to Arthurian legend. I don’t see [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] as feminine at all, I find it to be much stronger than [name_u]Tristan[/name_u], but both give off a magical feeling to them.
I love [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] a lot more, but both are nice names. I think they are great together! Both strong names but with a softer, almost poetic vibe to them. Perfect.
I like [name_u]Tristan[/name_u]!
I love [name_m]Emrys[/name_m]!
I think the connection to Arthurian [name_u]Legend[/name_u] is the reason I love them together so much, I adore them both individually ([name_m]Emrys[/name_m] a wee bit more) but there’s just something about them together.
Thanks for all the replys!
I love [name_m]Emrys[/name_m]! I think the link to Arthurian legend and [name_m]Merlin[/name_m] adds extra magic and intrigue to the name. I really like the meaning too, and because of its history, I don’t think it comes across as feminine at all. [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] is a good name too, it feels more normal, but still cool (a bit like [name_m]Jason[/name_m] for example). I think it would fit in well with the style of other names popular today. Together they work well, both with a good deal of history and myth behind them, but [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] would definitely have to be my favourite of the two.
I also do not see [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] as feminine at all. They are both masculine. I like [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] but love [name_m]Emrys[/name_m]. I think they both make a nice sibling set.
Thanks for all the replys! It’s nice to know other people love them and it’s not just me [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] is definitely the favourite!
I like those names.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] them both, and together
