[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!
I’m [name_f]Jenn[/name_f]. Me and my husband have been planning to adopt this totally adorable little indian girl from an orphanage in our town. At first we were planning on giving her a new name. (SO was set on [name_f]Kiera[/name_f], I was leaning more towards [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] or maybe [name_f]Eira[/name_f].) But after some consideration, we think it’s probably for the best if we give her a name That’s a bit similar to her ethic name, which is Pradthana. But I’m really not a fan of “[name_f]Anna[/name_f]” names and SO doesn’t really like [name_f]Thea[/name_f] or [name_f]Tania[/name_f].
And after wrecking our heads all for this all we can think of are
[name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Raina[/name_f] and [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f]. But none of them actually suits her. So I would love to hear some fresh suggestions from you guys!
Thank you so much in advance!
[name_f]Jenn[/name_f]
Fake story.
The only name that I can see from Pradthana is [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] (Pradt[b]hana[b]).
Other names:
[name_f]Eliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Elena[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Liana[/name_f]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_f]Aubriella[/name_f]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Aileen[/name_f]
Aslinn
[name_f]Alexa[/name_f]
[name_f]Maia[/name_f]
[name_u]Winter[/name_u]
[name_f]Callista[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Erin[/name_f]
[name_f]Tess[/name_f]
I don’t care whether this is true or not. I just replied for the fun of answering. If it is true congratulations on your new baby girl. Adopting children I think is so special and it takes a certain kind of person who is willing to raise a strangers child. If this is fake then next time put this in the name game forum.
I agree with the suggestions made by @netball16. I would also suggest [name_f]Indira[/name_f] and [name_f]Kiara[/name_f]/[name_f]Chiara[/name_f]. I really like the name [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] too! I think with adoption it’s often a good idea to keep her given name as her middle name and give her a new first name, since she is now your child. Keeping her original name as her middle keeps her connected to her background.
I’m confused, why do people think this is a fake story? (I’d be interested to know if there’s a way to tell!)
[name_f]Priya[/name_f] I think would work well
[name_u]Panya[/name_u]
[name_f]Pari[/name_f]
[name_f]Piri[/name_f]
[name_f]Pia[/name_f]
Assuming this is real, I would keep her name the same. I don’t think Pradthana is going to be any more trouble than say [name_f]Eira[/name_f] in terms of spelling and pronunciation.
The main giveaway to look for when deciphering if a story is true or false, is generally if the story seems exaggerated, over the top or unbelievable in anyway. Also, sometimes the tone and language used can be an identifier.
If this is even real, why can’t you just keep her name??
I’m from the US and I actually know many people who have [name_f]English[/name_f] first names with middle names from their homelands. For example, I know two sisters who have [name_f]English[/name_f] first names and Chinese middle names. I think you should keep her [name_f]Indian[/name_f] name and make that her middle name to honor her [name_f]Indian[/name_f] background but give her an [name_f]English[/name_f] first name in order for her to fit in in English-speaking society.
