What do you think of having sisters named [name_f]Enid[/name_f] and [name_f]Inez[/name_f]? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you foresee any problems? Are the sounds too close?
I like both of these names. I pronounce [name_f]Inez[/name_f] a few different ways. Which do you like more: [name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] or [name_f]Inez[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]?
I do think the sounds are too close for sisters, tbh. I don’t really prefer one over the other in general, but with mn [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], I prefer [name_f]Enid[/name_f]. [name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] just has a better sound and flow, imo.
If you’re pronouncing it ee-NEZZ, then [name_f]Enid[/name_f] would be too close for me. If you are going with EYE-nez, I can certainly see them as sisters. As for MN, I prefer [name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], though [name_f]Inez[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is sweet as well.
Enid and [name_f]Inez[/name_f] are both beautiful names. I do see them as being too similar as far as sound to work for siblings.
Between [name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Inez[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], I think [name_f]Inez[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is a real winner.
I don’t think they’re too close to use, although not ideal. I prefer [name_f]Inez[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] since it doesn’t have any repeating consonants, unlike [name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]’s Ds.
I think with the EE-nid and ee-NEZ pronounciations they might be a bit too close for sisters, which is a shame since they’re both such lovely names! I pronounce [name_f]Inez[/name_f] a bit more like ih-NEZ (short i sound), and I think that would work better in a sibset with [name_f]Enid[/name_f].
