Enid, Rosamund and others

Looking for your honest first reactions/general impressions of a few names we are considering for [name]Florence[/name] [name]Marlena[/name] ([name]Floss[/name]) and [name]Dorothy[/name] [name]Vera[/name] ([name]Dolly[/name])'s sister (we have very old fashioned taste in names…). We absolutely love the name [name]Gloria[/name] but have agreed that with our surname Churchyard it is too much so it has been moved to middle spot!

[name]Enid[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] Churchyard
[name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Gloria[/name] Churchyard
[name]Ethel[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] Churchyard
[name]Mabel[/name] [name]Gloria[/name] Churchyard
[name]Gladys[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] Churchyard
[name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] Churchyard
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Mabel[/name] Churchyard

Thankyou for any responses in advance!

[name]Enid[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] Churchyard - [name]Enid[/name] is classic but not exactly pretty? I think it has a stately quality. It also feels rather UK-ish to me. I do not like it for my child, but I’d like to know one.
[name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Gloria[/name] Churchyard - I adore [name]Rosamund[/name] intensely. Nice meaning, feminine but not feminissa, historic.
[name]Ethel[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] Churchyard - I don’t like [name]Ethel[/name]. Sorry. It’s too crusty for its cool, if you know what I mean. And that’s coming from a person who just rhapsodized about how much they love [name]Rosamund[/name]. I do like [name]Esther[/name]?
[name]Mabel[/name] [name]Gloria[/name] Churchyard - [name]Mabel[/name] is interesting. I think it is at the exact point where if it got even slightly crustier I’d throw it in the [name]Ethel[/name] heap but as it is I still kinda like it. I prefer [name]Rosamund[/name] or [name]Enid[/name] though.
[name]Gladys[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] Churchyard - [name]Ethel[/name] heap, sorry.
[name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] Churchyard - I love [name]Lucinda[/name]. It’s softer than [name]Rosamund[/name] and [name]Enid[/name], and a bit girlier, but it’s not sappy. I prefer [name]Cinda[/name] to [name]Lucy[/name] as a nickname though I think. I adore [name]Rosemary[/name], more than [name]Gloria[/name] honestly. I think that I love this.
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Mabel[/name] Churchyard - OOOH. Oh. Well you’ve gone and made it difficult again. I love [name]Rosemary[/name], it’s one of my absolute favourite names. I think this one might take the whole show.

I love: [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Mabel[/name], [name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name], and [name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Gloria[/name], in that order, as my top three. You have some lovely names!

[name]Enid[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] Churchyard- No child should be named [name]Enid[/name].
[name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Gloria[/name] Churchyard- See [name]Enid[/name].
[name]Ethel[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] Churchyard- See [name]Enid[/name].
[name]Mabel[/name] [name]Gloria[/name] Churchyard- Better, but not loving it.
[name]Gladys[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] Churchyard- See [name]Enid[/name].
[name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] Churchyard- Here we go! I like this a lot!!!
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Mabel[/name] Churchyard- And it just gets better! This is gorgeous!

[name]Florence[/name], [name]Dorothy[/name] and [name]Mabel[/name] would be gorgeous together! Although I love [name]Rosamund[/name]/[name]Rosemary[/name] and [name]Lucinda[/name], I think I prefer a two-syllable name in this case.

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Lucinda[/name]. Its so pretty, but I think [name]Rosemary[/name] is too long for a middle name. What about [name]Rose[/name]?

[name]Enid[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] Churchyard is my favorite. [name]Florence[/name], [name]Dorothy[/name], and [name]Enid[/name] sound like the names of sisters from a storybook.

I love your taste in names! The only one that I don’t really like on this list is [name]Ethel[/name] - I am one of the minority who ADORES [name]Enid[/name], and even likes [name]Gladys[/name].

My favorites out of your combinations are the first two - [name]Enid[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] and [name]Rosamund[/name] [name]Gloria[/name]. Either one would be lovely.
