My dh and I are struggling to find a name for [name]Evan[/name]'s baby brother due in [name]March[/name]… My dh loves [name]Erik[/name] (as does our ds, [name]Evan[/name]) and I am finding myself liking [name]Logan[/name] a bit more… Is [name]Logan[/name] still a usable name or is it way too dated? which , if either, do you like better?
[name]Evan[/name] and [name]Erik[/name]
[name]Evan[/name] and [name]Logan[/name]
thanks for any input or other suggestions for names…
[name]Logan[/name] is a little trendy right now but I think still usable. I do like the sound of [name]Evan[/name] and [name]Logan[/name] together and the 'an ending is a nice subtle connection. [name]Evan[/name] and [name]Erik[/name] have a more obvious connection, but [name]Erik[/name] has a stronger meaning than [name]Logan[/name]. This is a hard question because I personally like both names. Perhaps go with [name]Logan[/name] is you want to break the “E theme” (but just because you have two kids with the same first letter doesn’t automatically mean there is a theme) or use [name]Erik[/name] if you prefer stronger sounds & meanings.
I like both names, but [name]Erik[/name] gets my vote because I like its history and meaning more. It is also less trendy right now. I used to love [name]Logan[/name] until it became mega-popular, especially where I live.
Well [name]Logan[/name] is really trendy right now, so as long as you’re ok with that it is pretty cute. I do love [name]Eric[/name](prefer this spelling) but it might be too close to [name]Evan[/name]. 4 letters, 2 syllables, starts with E…
If you are worried about dated, I would go with [name]Logan[/name], since it’s trendier and more popular. I feel like I know more [name]Eric[/name]/[name]Erik[/name]'s that are older rather than babies.
