What do you think of [name]Eris[/name]
I think it’s a horrible name. [name]Iris[/name] is a thousand times more beautiful, and [name]Eris[/name] was the [name]Goddess[/name] of strife & discord, and she was basically responsible for the Trojan war.
I don’t think the history of a name necessarily has to define it - otherwise a lot of biblical names would be out! I think it has a pretty sound and is definitely distinctive in a simple way.
[name]Eris[/name] kind of sounds like Heiress
I personally don’t like it, but to each their own.
Only if you’re also considering Cacophony and Infighting as backups.
Well, I think I could stomach it as a middle name or as a nickname for something like [name]Cerise[/name] or [name]Erin[/name] [name]Sue[/name] or something.
My major issue with it is that it sounds like heiress, which seems like naming your kid Trustfund or [name]Precious[/name] [name]Miracle[/name].
I personally don’t have a huge problem with using names of characters with negative connotations as long as they aren’t part of the language in that capacity (like Chaos). It’s definitely something to consider, but it’s not a deal breaker for me.
I do agree that [name]Iris[/name] is far prettier though.
I prefer [name]Iris[/name] but I respect [name]Eris[/name]'s mythical history.
