DH and I recently found out we are expecting our third child. If we have a boy we have picked out [name_m]Ernest[/name_m]. It was my Great Grandpa’s name who passed away when I was a teenager. We love the name but worry about people’s reactions just because that will be the reaction our son would get his whole life. I’ve read the comments under this name on other websites and a lot of them were not good.
So what do the Berries think? Usable? Not usable?
I think it’s totally usable and a cute way of honoring your great grandfather.
I think it’s usable. It makes me think of [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] [name_m]Hemingway[/name_m]. I’d personally prefer it in the middle spot though.
I like [name_m]Ernest[/name_m]. It has a soft and sweet sound to me. The Importance of Being [name_m]Earnest[/name_m] could make anyone love it 
I love [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] and I definitely think it’s usable. I always think of the Importance of Being [name_m]Earnest[/name_m] when I hear the name. I think it’s a vintage gem.
Not a big [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] fan in particular. I kind of worry about what non-name buffs would say to him. Have you considered using it as a middle?
I would personally put it in the middle.
