[name_u]Happy[/name_u] [name_m]Friday[/name_m] the 13th! Wow, a [name_m]Friday[/name_m] the 13th in [name_u]October[/name_u], must be a spooky one! Warning that this game does have some horror-esque killers but nothing graphic and it’s all in the spooky season spirit. Plus, there’s chances dead characters can get revived!
How to Play
There will need to be at least 20 characters for this game. [name_m]Roll[/name_m] a 1-6 dice for names; the number on the dice indicates how many characters should be named a certain way. [name_m]Roll[/name_m] four times for who should get spooky names, who should have autumnesque names, who should have fun names, and who should have popular NB names. Example: if you roll a 4 for spooky names, it means 4 of your characters have spooky names. If you rolled the dice 4 times and the numbers add up to more than 20, consider yourself lucky! That’s an advantage to have more than 20 characters because you’ll need at least character to make it out for you to win. If your rolls add up to less than 20, you’ll still have 20 characters and you can replace the remainder with names of your own free choice. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to go diverse with ages, genders, and all sorts of ways but maybe don’t get too attached…this game is evil and ruthless. If you lose, don’t worry, this game is quite luck-based and bad luck is well, expected.
[name_u]Day[/name_u] 1: Your people have been captured by the grim reapers and are taken into the house of horrors. The grim reapers have allowed them to live as long as they make out of the house within 13 days. If they die during the game, the grim reaper takes them to death. However, you win the game as long as there’s at least one player alive to make it out. If everyone dies before 13 days, you lose. To start this game off with a bang, one of your characters has become a killer! [name_m]Roll[/name_m] D20 (or customise the number in the dice roll if you have more than 20) on who the killer is and who that first victim is. The killer has to die in five days or less or the killer wins. For every day they survive, kill off another person each round. [name_m]Roll[/name_m] the dice again, if it’s odd, they get killed by the grim reaper and stop killing others. If it’s even, they survive one more day and kill another victim. Keep doing the dice rolling until the killer dies. Also just to be kind, if the killer is so bad at killing that they die the first day, revive the victim they killed because that victim deserved it.
[name_u]Day[/name_u] 2: If the killer from [name_u]Day[/name_u] 1 is still alive, roll dice for another victim and odd/even again as to whether the killer survives another day to kill again. If they died, ignore this. Here is time for NB trivia, if you get this correct, nobody else dies today. If incorrect, you have to sacrifice someone to the grim reaper (and they die). You cannot choose the killer as your sacrificed person if they’re alive. In [name_u]August[/name_u] of this year, there was a change in forum admin. Who is the current admin (not the leaving admin)? [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] (Kipperbo1) or [name_f]Emma[/name_f] (katinka)? Don’t click the spoiler until you have an answer, then spare everyone if correct and sacrifice if wrong. It is Kipperbo1, katinka left for Kipperbo1 to take the spot.
[name_u]Day[/name_u] 3: If the killer from [name_u]Day[/name_u] 1 is still alive, roll dice for another victim and odd/even again as to whether the killer survives another day to kill again. If they died, ignore this. More NB [name_f]Trivia[/name_f] but it will be done differently. The question is “What’s the most common non-unisex boy name on Nameberry for 2023?” Is it SOREN, LEO, KIAN, or ROYAL? It’s [name_m]Soren[/name_m]. If correct, sacrifice no one. If incorrect, count the letters of the incorrect answer and sacrifice one person per letter in the name you guessed. You cannot pick the killer for a sacrifice if they’re alive.
[name_u]Day[/name_u] 4: If the killer from [name_u]Day[/name_u] 1 is still alive, roll dice for another victim and odd/even again as to whether the killer survives another day to kill again. If they died, ignore this. This one might be a sad one for the people out there who are used to being last…sacrifice the person whose first name is last in alphabetical order. If that person is the killer, they can die here since it’s a chance event and not a choice event.
[name_u]Day[/name_u] 5: If the killer from [name_u]Day[/name_u] 1 is still alive, roll dice for another victim and odd/even again as to whether the killer survives another day to kill again. This is the last day that they can die here. If they survived this day, they officially kill everyone and win! If they died, ignore this. [name_f]Do[/name_f] a coin flip; if it’s heads then no one dies but if it’s tails, then 2 at up for sacrifice. You can choose to coin flip again; if it’s heads, then the two up for sacrifice are spared and won’t be sacrificed but if it’s tails, 4 people are sacrificed and die. If you got tails on your first coin flip and chose not to flip again, the 2 up for sacrifice will be dead.
[name_u]Day[/name_u] 6: This day won’t have a character killer for sure, but someone will be dead regardless. [name_m]Roll[/name_m] D4 for the damage. 1 = Revive one deceased but another dies in their place, 2 = [name_m]Roll[/name_m] D4 again for how many people die, 3 = [name_m]Roll[/name_m] a custom number dice on how many are left and kill the one it lands on, 4 = kill the two who you like the most or have the coolest names because I’m evil and make your fave characters die.
[name_u]Day[/name_u] 7: This is lucky number 7 day. Would I really kill someone on a lucky day? Of course not! Enjoy the day, no one will be dead today regardless.
[name_u]Day[/name_u] 8: The grim reaper possesses four of the characters. They start scaring all the other characters and wreaking havoc on the house of horrors (yay). [name_m]Roll[/name_m] a D6 on how many characters die from the grim reaper possession, and choose which ones do. If you get a 5 or 6, that’s good, it means no one dies after being possessed. The surviving characters are no longer possessed at the end of the day.
[name_u]Day[/name_u] 9: The witches enter the house of horrors and give some of the people a potion. [name_m]Roll[/name_m] a D6 for how many people are forced to drink it and then roll a D4 for how many have to die from it. You choose which ones are spared and which die. However if the number you rolled on the D4 is higher than the number on D6, congrats! You get to revive the number of people you rolled in D4 rather than kill them! Choose any dead people you want to revive. However if the number of people you have left alive is less than the number you rolled in D6, I’m afraid they’re all dead and the game ends here…
[name_u]Day[/name_u] 10: For this day, I’m being harsh on the odd/even dice. If you roll even, nobody else dies, but if you roll odd, half the people left are dead. You do get to choose which ones if you lose half and if you have an odd number, I’ll let you sacrifice the “lesser half” (example if there are 11 left, you sacrifice 5 and keep 6.)
[name_u]Day[/name_u] 11: This death will be a decision, but not made by you or me. Decision maker determines this, but they’re not deciding who dies, they’re deciding who lives. Type every survivor’s name in, and the decision maker chooses who lives. Remove who was chosen and doing this until one name hasn’t been picked by the decision maker, then that person is taken by the grim reapers and killed.
[name_u]Day[/name_u] 12: Monsters have entered the house of horrors. They’re doing the Monster Mash. The grim reapers force the remaining people to dance with the monsters and have fun goshdarnit! [name_m]Roll[/name_m] a D6 for each remaining player; 1 and 2 means they danced throughout the day and survived, 3 means they survived as well but I’m adding in the completely useless fact that they enjoyed the entire party and didn’t get scared at all, 4 means they refused to have fun and dance so the grim reaper killed them, 5 means they danced but danced badly so an odd/even dice roll determines if they survive (odd = no and even = yes), 6 means they almost danced throughout the entire night but got too tired and the grim reapers spared them – only for them to die one day later.
[name_u]Day[/name_u] 13: Anyone who got a 6 in [name_u]Day[/name_u] 12 is deceased today. Congrats if you’ve made it here. So much of this game was luck based but for the final day, you can choose your own challenge. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you want a dice roll to determine the fate of the survivors? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you want to just coin flip for their lives? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you want to do something more strategic and less luck-based like guess one of the top 10 names on Nameberry? Heck, you can even leave it down to solving a Wordle answer in 6 tries or fewer. Don’t make the challenge too easy like “solve 1+1” but let the fate be in your hands, you deserve it for getting this far! However, remember what you choose is all or nothing, so if you pass your chosen challenge, the survivors escape the house safely and you win. If you don’t pass your chosen challenge, the survivors are all killed by the grim reaper and you lose. Good luck!
