Esme and Rowena

Would these names be too different in style for twins? I don’t like very matchy twin names or the same initial although most of my favourite names begin with E. However twin names do have to sit well together and not be too different in style.

I think they work! They’re both unique and pretty names with strong meanings.

Thankyou. [name_f]My[/name_f] other concern would be significant difference in popularity and one or the other feeling short-changed. [name_f]Esme[/name_f] is far, far more common than [name_f]Rowena[/name_f].

Bearing in mind this is very hypothetical :joy:.

I do like them together! They have the same slightly witchy, mystical vibe to me.

I think they work! I don’t find them stylistically mismatched, both have the whimsical and feminine feel

I think they work! If you’re worried about the popularity/them sounding too different then I’d add maybe [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] and [name_f]Edie[/name_f] or [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f].

I’ve already used [name_f]Edie[/name_f] - great minds. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is a little too pretty for my style but I appreciate the input. I don’t mind them being a bit different, as long as they aren’t super jarring which I guess is what I was wanting to gauge. The popularity thing is maybe overthinking it a bit, but I could always look at stats and see if there is anything in the same region of both names that I like. But they feel right together.

They feel “matchy” to me, in a fantasy fiction way. [name_f]Esme[/name_f], from [name_u]Twilight[/name_u]. [name_f]Rowena[/name_f], from [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] / Supernatural.
