So Dh and I agreed on [name_f]Esme[/name_f] for now but I am having second thoughts. I really like [name_f]Esme[/name_f] but I don’t like it as much if I pretend to introduce myself as [name_f]Esme[/name_f]. Pronouncing it as Ez-[name_f]May[/name_f]. Also having trouble with middle names. I have a list of backups that DH hasn’t seen yet. What is your favorite name, if any, on the list? [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to choose more than one. [name_f]Sister[/name_f] is [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] [name_u]Paisley[/name_u]. Last name is very common M@*tin. Also open to other names or mixing names on the list. [name_u]Love[/name_u] vintage and whimsical names. Thanks!!!
WOW. I LOOOOOVE these names.
I personally like [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] a lot ([name_f]Emme[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u]) because my name is [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u].
I also really like [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]. [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is my least favorite because of repeating M sounds.
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] Willlow- [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] IT!!!
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]- it’s decent but not my fave
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]- ok but I much prefer [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]- [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] IT!!!
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u]- ok but [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is getting sort of popular
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f]- love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], esp. nn [name_f]Tilly[/name_f], but [name_f]Snow[/name_f] is not my style at all
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]- I AM IN [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]!!!
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Esme[/name_f]! [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] are my favourites on your list. Or, maybe [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]?
Thank you I agree [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is a bit popular and I think I will remove [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] as its my least favorite right now. Thank you for all of your input it really helps!
I like [name_f]Esme[/name_f] a lot and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] or [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] are my favorites from your list! Your backup list is good, too, but I think if [name_f]Esme[/name_f]'s been your favorite a long time, then stick with it! [name_m]Don[/name_m]‘t talk yourself out of a name you’ve loved for a while…you might regret not using a beautiful name like this. Personally, I’ve never tried introducing myself as my daughters’ names to test them out. Sounds like a cool idea, but introducing myself as anything other than (my name) sounds odd! If I’d spent a lot of time on here while trying to name my first daughter, I’m sure I would have come across something at some point or another that would have made me doubt my 15-year name crush! But I’m so glad I didn’t change it.
That said, if it’s just YOU who’s starting to dislike [name_f]Esme[/name_f], then my favorite from your second list would either have to be [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u].
Thank you for the reassurance. I still love [name_f]Esme[/name_f] but I guess I’m just second guessing myself. Our family had a hard time pronouncing [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] at first. We even named her [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] instead of the traditional [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] thinking it would be easier to pronounce. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is my second or equivalent favorite to [name_f]Esme[/name_f] right now.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] or [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. I’ve always loved the name [name_f]Esme[/name_f], but I have to say that I’m pretty taken with [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]! Personally, I wouldn’t use [name_f]Millie[/name_f] as a nn. I’d use [name_f]Nola[/name_f].
I do like the name [name_f]Nola[/name_f] and would probably use both [name_f]Nola[/name_f] and [name_f]Millie[/name_f] or whatever comes natural. [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is my grand mothers name so it was the first nn that came to mind. Choosing a name is so hard. Thank you for your input

My personal favourite from all of your names is [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Willow[/name_f], I think it’s stunning!
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is second favourite, love the nn [name_f]Millie[/name_f]! And after that is [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], which is absolutely gorgeous, it’s only third because I prefer [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] to [name_f]Esme[/name_f], but that’s just my taste.
I’m personally not keen on [name_f]Esme[/name_f], but it is because it reminds me of a character in a tv show that was popular in the 80s in Australia. Of your other choices I absolutely love [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and I really like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] as well. You have some lovely choices! Good luck
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] - too M heavy.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] - Really nice.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] - I love the balance between new and classic.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - Nice, but not stunning.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] - I just don’t like [name_f]Noelle[/name_f].
Top choices: [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] & [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
Other options
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] - I think this is too wordy. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] would be better.
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]- Not a huge fan of either of these names. [name_f]May[/name_f] want to stear clear of FNs that start with A because of [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] (whose name I adore btw!)
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] - Really nice, but maybe a bit heavy? [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u] or maybe [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] would be better? I love the nn options of [name_f]Flo[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] though.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] - [name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] - I adore [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] & [name_f]Jane[/name_f], especially together! I feel like it’s possible I suggested it to you, or maybe saw you were thinking of it or something. Anyways, I think it’s a stunning name! I also love the nn [name_f]Nola[/name_f], but [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is cute as well.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u] - Pretty. While [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is popular, I feel like [name_u]Fable[/name_u] really balances her out nicely.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], don’t love [name_f]Snow[/name_f].
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - I just can’t get behind [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] as a name. I love the name [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] or the name [name_f]Golde[/name_f] ([name_m]Gold[/name_m]-ay) but [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] just seems too out there. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is always nice, but maybe a bit boring here?
Top choices: [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u].
I want to love [name_f]Esme[/name_f], and I almost do. It’s very cute and has an air of sophistication about it. But I once read a comment or two about it sounding like the word “asthma” and I can’t get it out of my head. They do sound really similar if you say them quickly.
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] is my favorite. Swoon.
