We are expecting a new bubs in [name_f]April[/name_f], we already have our boys name picked ([name_m]Archer[/name_m]) but are undecided on a girls name.
We have a daughter who is 18 months named [name_f]Isla[/name_f].
We are tossing up between Esmé and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] but I honestly cant decide which I like better.
In terms of middle names I think we are going with [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] but that isnt set in stone
Out of the two, I prefer Esmé by far and Esmé [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] sounds better than [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_u]Alexis[/name_u]. However, both Esmé and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] are quite close to [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] more than Esmé but still. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like any other girl names out there? (I would avoid using similar names for siblings to avoid confusion)
I love [name_f]Esme[/name_f], but my wife doesn’t (we are 9 days overdue as of this moment). Yet, [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] really complements [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and lends itself to [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] NN should that be a draw.
I like [name_f]Esme[/name_f] quite a bit. I think [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] sound better together as a sibset.
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is cute but a little overexposed.
Another vote for [name_f]Esme[/name_f].
I like both [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] but [name_f]Esme[/name_f] is a better pairing with [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. They are similar in style whereas [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] seems like it’s going in a more vintage direction.
Additionally, [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] and sounds better than [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_u]Alexis[/name_u]. [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] is a little too much ‘L’ and they are also different stylistically. Great names on their own but they don’t seem like a good pair.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] & [name_f]Esme[/name_f] both have a romantic, distinguished and alluring vibe. Beautiful…a little beachy.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] and Esmé is the best pair and Esmé pairs best with [name_u]Alexis[/name_u]. Plus, both are very ‘now’ whereas [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is a vintage classic.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] works much better than [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_u]Alexis[/name_u], imo, and I also like [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] more together. It’s a bit odd that one has a silent s and the other does not, but I think they really complement each other well and bring out each other’s beauty!
