I like both but prefer [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]! No reason really, they’re both gorgeous names!

I’ve never enjoyed ‘stelle’ names. I know this is an unpopular opinion and I can’t really describe why. Maybe because of the saying ‘stellar’ I think it cheapens those names to me, so [name_f]Stella[/name_f] has always really grated on me. However I love [name_f]Este[/name_f]/Esther. [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] is better than [name_f]Stella[/name_f], because it has that french feel, but [name_f]Esme[/name_f] is just outright gorgeous, soft and beautiful.

Maybe also because of the lager - [name_f]Stella[/name_f]. That might also be why

I like both names. For me, [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] feels like a [name_u]French[/name_u] classic, while [name_f]Esme[/name_f] has more of a boho vibe. Since I am more into [name_u]French[/name_u] classic names, I voted for [name_f]Estelle[/name_f].

Hi there.

That was hard! I do prefer [name_f]Esme[/name_f] though. It’s just so elegant & pixie-ish & everything about it gives off a pleasant interesting vibe. Pronunciation & spelling may be a little tricky for some, but totally worth it for such a gorgeous name. I like how [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] has easy nns of [name_f]Essie[/name_f] & [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], whereas [name_f]Esme[/name_f] really doesn’t. But it’s not quite as pretty to me.

Hope this helps.

I picked [name_f]Esme[/name_f], but really I like them both. I’d be more inclined to use [name_f]Esme[/name_f] personally and I perhaps prefer the sounds and fewer letters in [name_f]Esme[/name_f]. [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] feels a little more classic/refined while [name_f]Esme[/name_f] is a little more down to earth/boho.

Neither are my style, personally. They sound very old fashioned to me. I have only met people my grandparents’ age with these names. Out of the two, I think [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] could be more usable with [name_f]Stella[/name_f] as a nickname.

I’d have to say [name_f]Esme[/name_f]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a personal preference. I love [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] with the nn [name_f]Stella[/name_f], though.

Estelle is so elegant and gives me old-fashioned, Parisian vibes. And the sound of it is simply gorgeous, too, imo. :star2:

Definitely [name_f]Esme[/name_f] for me! This name just feels so much more lively and fresher than [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] IMO. I’m not a big fan of [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] but I do quite like [name_f]Stella[/name_f]!

I prefer the starry and elegant [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]

I find [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] hard to scream out when you’re mad. :joy:

I like the nickname potential of [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] ([name_f]Essie[/name_f], [name_m]Telly[/name_m], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], etc) plus I find [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] more intuitive in pronunciation which might make it easier to wear and less annoying in the long run
